Not including exploration, due to the size of the game it would take you hundreds of hours to get to it. If the game came out on June 21 the developers would have already fixed the center by the time players reached it.

However, as we approached our final deadlines, we realized that some key moments needed extra polish to bring them up to our standards. I have had to make the tough choice to delay the game for a few weeks to allow us to deliver something special.

I'm wondering if those key moments are really the reason why for the delay. To me it seems strange that the developers found out that those key moments needed more time not months ago, but withing three weeks of release. I'm thinking Sony told them to come up with a delay just to increase the hype and pre-orders. I know it sounds stupid but like I said you would think those key moments due to how important they are would be noticed months ago.

It really does say a lot about the way the site is ran when staff members are getting away with insulting the community. On site or off site they still should be required to show respect to the members of the site no matter who is part of it.

The problem with this statement is that since we didn't develop our own tech and buildings then neither should the aliens as well. It would be an never ending line of aliens showing aliens showing aliens showing aliens about how to make this tech and structures. Some where down the line someone had to come up with it first which means there's no reason at all why humans couldn't have come up with the things we did on our own.
