The insects had been subdued. after countless raids and pinpoint broom sweeps of their inner sanctums my eight year old self had claimed victory in driving the horde out of the holy land.
With my enemy by the hip and one purchase of a vacuum and a glass jar I pit my former oppressors against each other. bee against wasp, spider against ant, only the strongest survived in this hellish insect fight club and only the strongest could escape.
This ant prisoner who had won countless battles against all odds was the key to preventing the massive insect counter attack that was bound to occur. I gave him freedom for information, he would lead me to the final ant bastion.
As I made the descent into my mothers basement the smell engulfed my very soul. While disoriented by the fumes I finally realized why he ant had willingly lead me to his home, I was being ambushed.
I will not tell of the horrors both the ants and I inflicted upon each other, I will not tell of the slight discomfort exhibited by my kneecaps as the ants tore the flesh.
I can only tell of the smell, and the heralding doom It brings
Brutal. And back in the day prosthetics and the like weren't so great, so I bet you've got fake wooden kneecaps now, poor bastard.
