Oh yeah, I had a dream about you last night, by the way.
Since I know what you look like I could actually see you. We went on some adventure and made turtle soup. It reminded me of Lord of the Rings.
Then this crazy group of hunters came and tried to kill us, and they turned out being alternate versions of us.

I'm not saying it's rational, it's a problem that's around eight years old now. She has some good qualities and a lot of bad ones. I can barely approach lucid dreaming, so I'm not in charge of that either. It ebbs and flows. I live with it. If I can't have her, I hope to meet another girl that imprints me, and that'll fix the shit out of it. Until then she could claim me anytime she chooses unfortunately.
Keeping a journal helps the lucid dreaming process. If you have any programs that play light tones you can roughly calculate REM sleep cycles based off of 90 minute average human cycles and program the light tone to not necessarily wake you up, but alert your dreaming ming that you're asleep.
Have you tried analyzing the root of your conflict?

On and off. I've trained my mind to think of other things instead.
What I'd do is active dreaming conditioning. Every time you have a dream of her record everything you remember and attempt lucid dreaming regularly.
I could've used that advice a couple of years ago, but by now I've found my own way. I'm nearly through. It helps when you're attractive and every third girl will double-take; I might be dead by now if I was ugly, not that I didn't try to kill myself anyway. My current eventual plan is to swamp this place with a few australian girls once I find a girl to date. I think it'll go down well/amusingly.
