My quick opinion on this:

as much as I hate using the word because of the moronic connotation it has nowadays, all of us are privileged. The fact that we all have spare time to dedicate to (shit)posting on the internet, that we have access to an education and government security, that we have a roof over our heads, clean water, heating and electricity? It means we are privileged, no matter how you look at it. Because there are billions of people out there who don't have any of those things. People born into extreme poverty with absolutely no opportunities.

But that does mean we should seek penance? That we should apologize and feel bad for getting lucky? That our problems and hardships somehow are meaningless because someone else has it worse? That, I don't think so. It's not our fault that we were born the way we are and where we are. And even though the challenges we face aren't comparable to the things some people in third world countries go through, that doesn't mean they aren't tough or can't have devastating effects on our lives.

That being said, I do think realizing how "priviliged" we are can help put things in perspective. There is no reason to feel guilty about it, but maybe it'll help to know that despite shitty things happening to you, you are in all likelihood still pretty damn lucky.

My entire graduating year? Around 120.

I'd love to visit Moab, but I'm afraid it's a little too far out. We're not staying for that long and it's already a 7 hour drive to get to SLC from where we're at now. Moab would take us another 4 hours in the other direction.

And like Slash said, even though it would be a different culture, America does not have a worldwide monopoly on vaults, technology and such. It would be very interesting to meet some drastically different factions than the ones we know now. I get the reasoning behind the argument, but the Fallout setting and universe is so vast and affected so many places worldwide that it almost feels like a shame to confine everything to just a single country. I'd definitely be interested in a spin-off series taking place elsewhere.
