Because all the things I liked about the place went to shit.
1. The awful site update. It had some good things like notifications and picture/youtube embeds, but then there were the hashtags, the blinding white, the incredibly buggy interface and a ton of stuff that still sucks.
2. Groups died. Bungie took away all customization, ranks and structure that made private groups interesting. People hated the update, left and almost all groups I was a part of ended up dying.
3. Gaming died. It took Bungie what, half a year after Destiny launched to finally do something about the Gaming forum having turned into endless "guise leevel 30 hunter needs gourdians for raid"? Yeah, fuck that.
4. Flood went to even more shit. The place was never good, but it seems like the average age of the posters there dropped from 17 to 9 after Destiny came out. So many idiots, so little things actually worth it.
5. Good people left, several of them going to offsites.
6. Bungie. Bungie used to be my favorite game developer hands down. It pains me to see what has come of them. I understand that they're a business and that they are just in it for the money, which just so happens to come from appeasing 10 year olds, but they went to utter shit. They didn't care about any of the people who made them what they are. It sucks to see a good dev fall so low.
