Gaming / Playing Fallout 3
« on: November 17, 2015, 11:02:04 AM »
In anticipation of hopefully getting to play Fallout 4 sometime soon when I get myself an Xbox One, I'll be giving Fallout 3 (GOTY Edition, Xbox 360 another go. I have played the game before, but my adventure was cut short when the game bugged out and stopped me from furthering the main quest line.

I know several of you have put considerable amounts of time in the Fallout games before, so tell me, what should I look out for? Tips, tricks, things definitely not to miss? Prefered playstyle or quest line?

What the shit did I just stumble upon?

I'm asking myself the same thing.
Our resident homosexual has apparently lured numerous upstanding men of good faith into his den of desire and sodomy.

6126
-Pro life is a good thing, a woman should not be allowed to go and kill a baby just because she doesn't feel like taking resposibility for herself.
-Pro gun is a good thing. Gun control does not and cannot work within the US. The US is simply too large, guns are too ingrained in our culture, and in case you haven't noticed, we share a border with Mexico, so guns will just get smuggled back in anyway.
-Pro Bush/Rubio/Kasich didn't come off as overly religious to me. Not like Carson or Huckabee, and Gay Marriage is not even an issue anymore.
-The Death Penalty is a good thing. Frees up cell space.
-Climate change and euthenasia are probably the only areas I'll agree with you.
-Nobody is anti clean energy, it's just that "dirty energy" is sheaper right now.
-Military spending is neccesary because Eurocucks don't do their part to properly defend themselves, so America is forced to pick up the slack by spending more on it's military.
-Enhanced interrogation is a necessary evil.
-American Exceptionalism is a good thing.
-I'm not sure if net neutrality is even an issue anymore.
- It's not a baby yet and outlawing abortion would drive millions of women to choose for more clandestine, dangerous and illegal alternatives.
- Gun control demonstrably works, even in the US.
- "It's God's job to judge if punishment fits the crime", "Bible stories are historical facts", "Did earth come about on its own? Evidence says No", "The Lord wants America to succeed and for America to lead", businesses should be allowed to discriminate against gays, "LGBT protections are tantamount to elevating sodomy"... I guess we have different ideas of what being overly religious means then.
- The death penalty is cruel and inhuman, having no place in our modern society.
- "Grow our energy industry, not clean energy", opposing investing in green energy, opposing government regulations to protect environment. It's obviously insane to demand a switch to fully green energy right now, but to not invest in cleaner alternatives because they believe that global warming isn't a thing and that human energy usage and pollution do not play any role in the matter is just as bad.
- Torture yields terrible results.
- American exceptionalism is laughable, especially at this point.
- Net neutrality isn't an issue anymore over here. But as far as the US is concerned, I doubt we've heard the last of it yet, especially if you guys get a republican in office.

Is anyone still keeping up with news in relation to this?

France conducted over 168 raids, question 108 people, arrested 23 and confiscated 31 firearms including a rocket launcher.
Same thing going on here, as two of the terrorists passed through the country and temporarily resided here.

6133
I hope not, although I don't really know who would be a good candidate.
Kasich/Bush/Rubio
Pro life, extremely religious, pro death penalty, pro guns, anti euthanasia, American Exceptionalism.

Pro life, pro guns, religious rights can trump anti-discrimination laws, pro death penalty, denies human involvement in climate change, anti clean energy, pro more military spending and secret interrogation techniques, American Exceptionalism, anti net neutrality.

If these are the better candidates than I'm pretty worried, tbh.
Don't forget fracking. Kasich likes fracking.
I didn't even catch that one.

Did challenger get banned for his posts in here?

fuckin weak ass mods, i bet it was Kitsune
Nope, it was me and I don't give two shits if people know. Challenger has a pretty extensive history of personal attacks, so we don't give him as much leeway as we do with first time offenders. Calling someone a disgrace to their recently murdered family member because they don't share your ideology is pretty far out there and most definitely crosses the line of what we find acceptable on this forum. He'll be back in a few days, but any future bans will be considerably longer if he keeps this up.

Demanding a reformation is as nonsensical as demanding that American Christians reform their religion because of the KKK and WBC.

Except both of those groups have distanced themselves from other Christians, calling themselves the 'KKK' and 'WBC'. That's called distancing.
And calling yourself the equivalent of "Holy Warriors for the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant" rather than plainly "muslim" is not?

I also don't see how it is important for the group in question to distance itself from the other believers by name. What matters is how those other people distance themselves from the group through actions, stance and ideology. If a new Christian terrorist group is founded tomorrow calling itself "The Christians", it doesn't matter what name they give themselves. They might adopt the most plain and general name possible, but as long as the millions of other Christians distance themselves from the group, they're still clearly different from the rest.

If you're a Muslim and your reaction to the world hating Islam is to join ISIS, something's wrong with you.
Imagine you've been raised a particular way and grew up following a certain religion in the West (or East). Your parents, family and a lot of your friends share those beliefs and values. You have never called for stonings in the street. You don't believe people should be beheaded for disagreeing with you. At one point, a tiny fraction of extremists out of the millions of people who think like you (a lot of them living in the West and growing up with increasingly progressive values) kill people for their religions reasons and out of a twisted interpretation of their holy scripture. Next thing you know, people start turning on you. You're shunned from the society you grew up in. People look at you dirty and insult you in the street. Everywhere you go, people are blaming you for what happened and start treating you like an adversary. An enemy to fight and destroy because of what extremists which you never met and don't at all agree with are doing. You will grow to resent these people treating you that way. You will turn away from the Western progressive values. You will stick to the people who are like you and start hating those who mistreat you for your background and religion.

Does that mean all of them are going to take up arms for WW3? No. But does it mean that we will only alienate those moderates and create a gap between us and them, forcibly grouping all muslims together with terrorists? Yes, it will.

Quote
Call for a fucking reformation or something. Show us clearly you don't condone these actions.
Islam is not a solid and structured religion like that. There are hundreds of groups and denominations with their own ideas and beliefs. Demanding a reformation is as nonsensical as demanding that American Christians reform their religion because of the KKK and WBC.

I also don't know how in touch you are with these people, but I've already read of tons of muslims, mosques and islamic organizations condemning these actions and distancing themselves from these people.

Ugh, my feed is filling up with shit like "the terrorists want you to hate moderate Muslims" and "we need to coexist or the terrorists win".

Man, fuck these people.
Well, they're not wrong. It is what these terrorists want. They want to create a divide and an "us versus them" mentality between muslims and the rest of the world. They want a violent kneejerk reaction against moderate muslims so that they will turn away from the West and join them.

What about the controller? Does the wireless one come with an actually rechargable battery pack or does it still use AA ones?
