Gaming / Re: Post your gaming PC specs
« on: October 16, 2014, 04:27:55 AM »
No this is not a thread dedicated to bashing gaming consoles like my other threads on this forum.
That's a welcome and appreciated change.

I'm currently doing my PC gaming on a laptop. 8 gigs of RAM, 1920x1080 15.6" screen, i7 4700MQ GPU, Nvidia GT 755M (possibility of SLI).

Nice, what's the clock speed on your CPU?
I think 2.4Ghz but I'm not entirely sure. Any way to find out without looking for my specs online?

CPU-Z and GPU-Z are good for getting detailed information on your graphics card and CPU.
2.40Ghz according to Speccy.

Not bad, my CPU goes around 4.1 GHz when being stressed tested.  It's a Haswell series Core i7.
Yeah, it's pretty good for a laptop. Gotta love the portability.

Can you post a screenshot of your GPU specs in GPU-Z or another similar program?
This okay for you? Temperature's a little high atm, but that's because I've been gaming on High Performance mode all evening.

The GPU temp doesn't seem too bad.  From what I understand as long as you don't get up to the late 80s or 90s in Celsius you should be fine.  My GPU idle temp stays around 34 degrees Celsius.
Ah, thanks for letting me know.

« on: October 15, 2014, 06:39:25 PM »
There are only 375 P1's in the world. Majority being in the US. I don't think it'd be that average (in the grand scheme).
Your car isn't gold plated, tuned beyond belief or encrusted with diamonds though, is it? If not, you'll only ever be average in Dubai.

6.3"? No fracking thanks. That's massive.
True story. My iPhone 6+ is very nearly too large for my hand; a phone with a 6+ screen is just ridiculous.

I guess they're going to try to phase out tablets or something...
The iPhone 4 has perfect dimensions imo. 4.5 inch by 2.3. Fits any pocket of mine and is so comfortable.
I used to think the 4.5-4.7" size was perfect, but then I used a 5.5" and it's wonderful
I used my girlfriend's 5s a bunch over the course of the summer and it's managable but still too large imo.
Unless you're a midget a 4 inch screen shouldn't be large.
Definitely not a midget and the 5s is pretty much 5 inch. Still prefering 4.5".

iPhone 4 was probably my favorite, at the time it was released, but after 2 years of using an iPhone 5 the 4's screen feels tiny.
I am looking into getting a new phone myself, so maybe I'll soon change my opinion too.

Eh.
Gimme a phone that texts and calls.

frack any other features.
But that's boring.

Why carry multiple devices when 1 does the trick? I don't want to carry a flip phone, iPod, books, and various other shit. I can do it all on one.
I prefer having a dedicated MP3 player, that's why I bought it.
I prefer books, reading on a screen isn't the same.
I have a laptop for internet, because I'm not one of those sad idiots that needs to be on Facebook 24/7.

I don't need anything other in a phone that the basic functions.
You have to admit that it is nice though. I used to carry around my old phone for texting and calling, my (broken) ipod touch for wifi if necessary and an old ipod mini for music. A smartphone can be pretty convenient, even if you don't use half the features.
