I'm actually going to have agree with Door here. What started as a small gaming scandal has turned into a serious discussion about ethics in journalism. I may have to take more of an interest in this and actually read up about it more.

Took me a little while to realize 10/20 is supposed to be the date, not some score or whatever. Silly Americans with your strange and nonsensical ways of writing stuff.
But I'm in class. Can't join.

Do the album by yourself. It's staggering that something like Christian music even exists, so I would not want to rely on others in such a field.
So far this vote has been pretty unanimous
Well, it sounds to me like you're having issues finding reliable people to work with and that your last solo project did really well. Play your strengths, I'd say. Take it seriously and do a full solo album. You can keep looking for a band project at the same time.
That is looking like the best option. I've gone through 7-8 people over a year, and still don't have a band. Freaking ridiculous. This town is FULL of churches and musicians.
Yeah, seems like the opportunity is there. Just no luck yet. Don't stop looking for band members, but do it on the side while primarily focusing on your solo project. Good luck.

Right. Also that was a little Game of Thrones reference.
Not familiar enough with the show to catch all those details.

I'm vagetarian.
Oh God. You're not referencing that horrible Vegan video, are you?
Nah, not even sure what video you mean. And I'd never be vegan.
It's a video of a long haired vegan who spends 15 minutes performing cunnilingus on the air in front of the camera while talking about how he'd do that to any vegan lady. Just his whole appearance and choice of words is extremely disturbing. I think it's been removed from youtube and I'm not going to look for it in class, but I believe it was called something like "to all vegan ladies out there". Google at your own risk.

In a better world, one where love can overcome feminism and homosexuality, Ellen might have been my wife...
I don't know what your saying here........
That if Ellen Paige wasn't a feminist and a lesbian, he could've actually been with her. Had the opportunity been there, of course.

Meh. I don't really care for the game myself, but I disagree with the idea that its not fun or appealing for its audience, or that its all somehow artificial. I'm sure the devs have worked to build the scene, but that doesn't mean its all fake. That just sounds like weird conspiracy nonsense.
I doubt it'd have that many players if it wasn't somehow fun. Besides I've had friends get sucked into LoL hardcore.
I'm not saying it isn't fun and that the players are in way fake. I'm just saying the scene is artificial. What you're seeing in those pictures is not the result of an incredible community spawning around an extremely high skilled and competitive game. LoL is in no way special or extremely competitive. It's the result of the devs spending millions of dollars on creating an artificial competitive scene that isn't a direct result of the game's intrinsic qualities, but one of the insane amounts of money the devs put into it. I have nothing against the game. I just think it's saddening that the biggest esports games are no longer those that have the highest skill ceiling and are intrinsically insanely competitive. Now it's simply those that the developer's have the most cash to spend on making a mediocre game as popular as possible. It's a shame, really, and comparable to how certain artists like Justin Bieber have millions of fans paying hundreds of dollars to watch them lipsync autotuned songs they didn't even write themselves over and over again, while there's far more talented people out there making better music that hardly gets any exposure.

It really isn't. Games like LoL have an incredibly artificial competitive scene. It's not popular because the game's good, it's popular because the developers themselves put millions of dollars into their own "fake" competitive scene. I have mixed feelings about something like this. On the one hand, I like the exposure esports are getting. It's a great thing, if you ask me. But on the other, it's incredibly sad that competitive scenes are now "bought". It's no longer about what games are best, most competitive by nature or take the most skill, like it used to be. Games like Starcraft, SSB, Quake, W:ET, CS, SSF... became huge because they're awesome games that take insane amounts of skill to be great at. And for that reason, they fostered amazing and dedicated communities.
LoL is nothing like that. It's not a good or hard game that takes impressive amounts of skill. It didn't become the most popular esport because it's so great, it became popular because the developers created the most artificial and fake competitive scene for it imaginable.

Do you have a link to every single thing that you use btw? I think I'd like to give the rest a chance. I'll give ClassicShell another chance too.
Oh and another thing, I need to reinstall Maya and Mudbox for school but that won't be a problem at all.
I'll also be reinstalling Horizon.
I cut down on stuff I use. I only use ClassicShell and some of the WinAero plug-ins now. Classicshell brings back the start button, puts desktop programs as default to open files instead of the apps and skips the metro/tiles. Winaero is all about aesthetics. It lets you customize your taskbar, bring back the "glass" corners and tabs of Win7, removes the Windows 8 charms when you move your mouse to a corner of the screen... Just look around and see what you like.

I don't see why people are bent out of shape about win8/8.1. It's a great OS with some great under-the-hood improvements over win7.
I've been using 8 and 8.1 since they came out.
The metro / tile UI is absolutely horrendous imo.
But you don't have to use it. You just click on "desktop" and it's basically the same as win7
That's true, but it still boots up to it. There's also the lack of a "proper" start button and the "apps" that are always full-screen and are set as the default way of doing stuff.
Don't get me wrong though, I love my 8.1. I just much prefer it with the program ClassicShell installed, which removes the tiles and default apps and brings back the start button.
You don't have to boot to it, tho.
Oh, that's new to me. I didn't see that option when I first got my laptop.
Don't worry man. Now that I have 8.1, I have a lot to tinker and play around with and possibly break. Because that's what I do best. I'll let you know if there is anything else you can do with it so far.
Alright, feel free to let me know.

Congrats on 3000 posts btw.

Damn, quite the high price.

Who was it you had to kill?
"Foc" something. I didn't pay much attention.
Cheat said he was "Taking up space".
And once again, justice was served. Nice.

Did you use any of the programs I told you about ages ago to skip the tiles and get the "normal" start button and lay-out back?
I have 8.1 too, and I'm liking it quite a bit. It does boot up insanely fast. My laptop's ready to go in like 15 seconds (from completely off to fully signed in and google chrome open).

I just made some OC to make this choice a little easier for you all. Happy nuking!
Y?
Are you from Texas?
No. There really aren't. Sadly, yes. I live there for now.
Ah, well I meant no offense. I'm sure there's plenty of nice people in Texas.
Shame. At least you seem pretty nice.
