so yeah im starting this because i got a 3ds and pokemon y yesterday
just some initial thoughts:
i feel like they hold your hand too much, it's definitely a lot easier especially since you get an exp share pretty damn early and you get a lot more money, i'm only at the parfum palace and i've got like 25k i'll be a millionaire by the time i get to the league. maybe the prices of items have been adjusted, this region could been suffering from inflation? lol
my starter is also a lot higher level than the trainers pokemon and that's with not using it as my first in line, i haven't even been farming levels either i've just been going to whatever trainers i can see.
my current pokemon stand at:
braixen - 23
pikachu - 18
ivysaur - 19
braixen is a good 8 levels higher than anyone i've recently faced, the other two are around 4-5 levels higher. wtf man
but yeah inital impressions, will update as i go on

Agreed, when couples divorce they should throw their children into a meat grinder. Seriously though that is a very childish comment to make, no one wants to raise a child on their own but what other options do they have? Put their children in an already over crowded adoption system? It's not like couples have kids with the plan of getting divorced later. Plus an unhappy married environment is even worse for kids than just getting divorced.
