I'm aware of something similar to this. I don't say "I love you" to anyone and in general I don't really have strong emotional attachment to anyone.
I don't want to sound presumptuous, but I'm aware my situation has factors originating from childhood. You might have experiences that conditioned you to shut people out.
Personally, I don't have an issue with it. I plan on living a solitary existence anyway.
I also don't have conventional views on the importance of family.
In my "love life" it's "worse." When I do start feeling affections for others I immediately shoot those sentiments down and distance myself from them until they dissipate. I don't desire a family of my own.
In a way I do one day want a family of my own, my only worry is because of what I've said in the OP I'll be a terrible father and I'd rather not bring a child into this world if I'm not going to be a good dad.

I've come to realize that I can’t get emotionally attached to people. I mean, I'm very sociable, talkative and can get along with most people, even though I'm also very introspective. I'm that kind of person that gets along with everybody. I don't have a problem making friends, people usually like me. The problem is, I can’t get emotionally attached in a deeper level, like in a relationship.
It makes me feel like a heartless prick. Here's one thing that really bothered me recently, my sister goes to university abroad and she had to leave recently because her classes started again. She hugged me and cried when she said bye to me but I felt nothing. I'm like this with everyone even my parents whom I love. I never miss people nor do I get upset if someone I know dies. I don't think living like this is very healthy, I want to feel emotional towards others it'd probably help with my mental state, even possibly make me happier.
Sigh, anyone care to discuss? Do you feel like this? Do you know what I can do? Yeahhhh....
