Oh no, not at all. We have fairly strict gun regulations that requires people to have a valid reason, background check and training before they can obtain a firearm. Furthermore, public carry is out of the question for anone who doesn't exercise a profession that requires one. I'm personally pleased with these regulations, as I don't believe your everyday person should be allowed to carry a gun around in public. Instead of the American system of "everyone can carry a gun around unless there's a very good reason to deny them one", I feel like "no one can carry a gun in public unless there's a good reason for it" is much more sensible.
I'm talking about online interactions or some people I've talked to during my numerous visits to the US.
Everyone on this earth has a very good reason to carry one though. Self-defense.

-I oppose any firearm law that goes farther than regulating the sale of automatics
-I support gay rights to the point that I have gotten into a handful of physical fights over the issue.
-I have been physically assaulted about 4 times over my vocal criticisms of religion and creationism. It has also strained my relationships with some family members, especially my mother. But I will not be bullied into submission and every confrontation hardens my heart.
-I support a large reduction in military spending. I happen to live right by an army base, so military brats always lose their shit and act like I want to steal daddy's job or cut his pay. One guy swung at me over this one, I dodged and kicked him in the balls.
-I support the legalization of all drugs, with minor restrictions and taxes on the sale of addictive substances. I have gotten a lot of flak for this one.
-Pro-choice. Have been attacked by a christian girl for this, but a school administrator was right there and pulled her off me. I don't hit women so the most I would have done is try to pin her.
-The death sentence should be either removed, or the process should be sped up. Nobody should stay on death row for more than a year. It's a huge waste of taxpayer money to keep them like that for so long, and probably screws with their heads. The fact that I really don't care either way as long as it costs less has pissed off moralfags on both sides of the issue.
-I support the existence of stand your ground laws. The Twayvon din do nuffin crowd at my school called me a racist for a few days when I defended the laws in an argument.
-I am against no-knock raids. An off-duty cop blew up on me over this when I was in a restaurant discussing it with a friend.
