This is a country that has nuclear weapons.

A country where most people shit in the streets has the ability to destroy civilization as we know it.

Dude that's fucking hilarious imagine the bants when a burka clad officer tries to chase a nigger and stacks over her bin bag
or if she gets it stuck in a car door trying to pursue a suspect on foot

I want this to happen purely based on how funny it would look.

Imagine a burqa sheet lady with a police badge on her chasing down criminals and writing tickets for speeders.

It would make a great SNL skit.

Already got it. I love my Gen 2 RAV4 to death. It feels so comfortable to drive, it's the perfect size, I get a great FOV out of the windows, and it can handle pretty tough terrain for a car of its size.

I don't want one of the newer ones because they're fuckhuge mom vans now.

I'll probably drive this car until it dies completely, then try to find another one.

Serious / Re: Gary Johnson: "What is Aleppo?"
« on: September 09, 2016, 07:04:05 AM »
Considering your average voter doesn't know what Aleppo is either, I don't see why they would be concerned.
Because they're not the ones who necessarily need to know about Aleppo. They're not the ones trying to assume the most powerful and influential office in the world. "Ignorant" is one of the last things you want your president to be.
Sorry, that's not how democracy works.

People decide what's important to them, and the government is supposed to reflect that.
If people don't know about or give a fuck about aleppo, then the government doesn't need to worry about it either.

It's obviously not important to us.
It is, though, because it's an ISIS stronghold.

Democracy isn't working how it's supposed to because people are uninformed and vote based on "he made a funny xD" and how they feel that particular day.

Not to mention this logic is retarded. If most people don't know how to farm, are farms unimportant?
By the logic of democracy? Kinda

They're the ones who decide who assumes the office (in theory).

If you don't want an ignorant leader, why have ignorant people choose him?

In a democracy, a people will choose the leader it deserves.

The outfit thing I can understand since it's a remake, but I honestly like HG/SS. What was your issue with it?
- Gen IV's clunky, molasses-paced battles made an unwelcome reprisal
- Having your Pokémon constantly follow you around gets very annoying after awhile
- Terrible music--ALL of my favorite tracks were ruined (except Silver's theme)
- The 2D/3D thing just does not work for me whatsoever--I've talked about this before
- Fucking Lyra

etc.

But yeah, the #1 reason is because it has that lingering Gen IV stink that I can't handle for too long. To be fair, though, Gen II is my baby, so they probably couldn't have made a remake that I would be happy with in the end.

I actually loved it when it first came out, but it really soured on me in a short period of time.
You forgot the part about Gamefreak not fixing the only real flaw Gen 2 had- the godawful level curve.

>Chechen: Alik, while it's not too late, tell your guys to retreat. Don't do this, don't do this. In any case, Alik, you and I will die. What's the point of all of this? Who will win from this? You and I will not win from this, understand? If we or I catch you in action, I won't show you mercy, just like you won't, understand? It's better if you come to me as a guest. Retreat your guys. Have pity for their mothers, have pity for your guys, retreat them. Give the order.

>Alik: I'm not that big of a boss to give such orders.

>Chechen: Alik, understand me clearly, from my heart I wish that you survive this, but you better leave.

>Alik: I don't have such a choice. I have orders and I will obey them in any case.

Oh boy, maybe in 2020 I can vote for an ideologue nut instead of the regular corrupt bureaucrats!

Democracy sure is swell!

is there are better alternative in your eyes?
A handful
And they are?
Constitutional oligarchic republics, merchant republics, whatever the fuck you'd call classical Sparta, Athens-style patriarchal direct democracies (if the polis is small enough).

I think the ideals are variants of Autocracy and Constitutional Monarchy (non-inherited) modified with general welfare in consideration. A constitution can go a long way if you make it sacred.

A handful, yeah, but it's not hard to be better than a democracy with universal suffrage.

All of the alternatives I can propose have issues of their own, though. The ideal system is so far unconcieved.

The Flood / Re: How do you dress?
« on: September 06, 2016, 03:37:56 PM »
I'm too poor to afford new clothing as well, so I wear the same clothes often, which consists of tight sweatpants/skinny jeans and various generic shirts/hoodies. Also I usually always wear my favorite hoodie when I go outdoors, pic related;

Spoiler
tfw I misplaced my lucky innawoods hoodie

Conservative and comfortable. No logos, no prominent graphics or designs.

In the summer, shorts and V-necks with a cotton dress/casual shirt (usually plaid) on cooler days, usually unbuttoned with rolled sleeves.

In fall/spring, I never wear a t-shirt by itself and I wear jeans and cotton pants with my shirts.

In winter, usually jeans dominate cotton pants and cotton shirts are replaced with flannel shirts and hoodies, generally with a wind or rain-resistant layer on top or in my backpack. Maybe a fleece jacket if it's a rare chilly day.

It doesn't really get cold enough for a winter coat here except for Jan-Feb. Those don't see use otherwise unless I'm going on an outing somewhere cold, which calls for a whole other style of dress.

Johnson needs to be in the debates, he'll mop the fucking floor with the Char clone and Hillary if he does. His record is just too crazy good.
>Gary "throw away a free gun" Johnson
>Gary "All lives matter is a dog whistle" Johnson
>Gary "Christian bakeries should be required to bake gay wedding cakes", "Jewish bakeries should be forced to make Nazi cakes" Johnson

He's a libertarian in name only, and not a very great speaker either. All he's got to ride on is weed and most people not liking the dominant candidates.

He kinda sucks.

Pretty sure Burqa is just a regional/cultural thing anyway.

Look at how women dress in Iran, another Islamic theocracy. All they need is a hijab, and they get pretty creative with it.

« on: September 05, 2016, 06:05:17 PM »
There's a lot more to it than Le Eternal Anglo vs Le ebil Nazi Kraut.
Which is beside the point.

Had the British not fought in the War, Germany likely would've won.

The question is whether or not Europe would've been better off had Germany won.
Fair enough.

But that's kind of a stupid question too.
