No, no single person is well-rounded or intelligent enough to run an entire nation. You'd have to be some kind of retard to think otherwise. But success is achieved when a population is vocal about what they want, and through time and consensus develop a system that works.
Just because we're not omniscient superbeings doesn't mean we shouldn't use our voices.
Everyone using their voices has got us to where we are today: in decline. Uneducated rednecks shouldn't have a say in how to combat global warming or what scientific theories should be taught in school. Corporations shouldn't use their billions to fund ad campaigns that unfairly support their business. It's nice in theory because everyone feels equal and satisfied, but it promotes bad policies if you have an uneducated populace, and we have an uneducated populace.
Elitist pls go The solution to an uneducated populace is to educate the fucking populace, not to shut them up. A government should exist only to serve the will of people under its jurisdiction. The fact that those people are stupid does not make this any less the case. Any government that does not serve the will of the people must be dismantled and replaced with one that does, by any means necessary. I agree with you on the issue of corporations and misinformation, but, as has been said a million times before and will be said a million times again, corporations are not fucking people. That issue is unrelated.
