It's not about Zoe Quinn anymore, she was only important for the first two weeks. The journos are trying to MAKE it about her so they have someone who can play victim. We want ethical behavior from game journalists, and they're responding by faking death threats, accusing people of misogyny just for criticizing female writers, giving out personal information, and threatening to blacklist any writer or developer who comes out in support of GG. Zoe in particular has quite the history of faking death threats, and Anita Sarkeesian's attempt was laughably obvious.

Nobody should be treated like this. There are plenty of stories in game development where developers were targeted with death threats in the past, and some harassment. Some people out there are, to put it bluntly, assholes. Threatening people's lives is not a funny matter.
Whoever is harassing someone like that, sending threats and so forth, no matter how just they may be– they mustn't get away with it. It's a criminal offense, it's illegal and more so immoral. #GamerGate is composed by hate, and that's not acceptable.
You really have no idea what is actually going on, do you?

Somebody who self-identifies as a feminist in a civil, western country is doing it either out of pure ignorance or wanting to earn brownie points. Both, if said feminist is a man.
But there are still issues women (and men) deal with in western society because of sexism. Slut-shaming is still the social norm, even as the general population is becoming more sexually open. Another issue is that the tendency to assign women the "nurture" role goes against the idea that women should be getting into the work force and becoming independent. It also leads to women being favored in the legal system, which is bad for men.
