Serious / What the fuck, California?

>California’s just-passed Proposition 47 requires that police who catch perps with a stolen firearm (value under $950, not an NFA item) must charge them with a misdemeanor. Not a felony. Provided no other crimes have been committed, the cops can’t arrest the ballistic miscreants. They can only issue them a ticket and a summons to appear in court. And bad guys who’ve been convicted of what used to be a felony can petition the court to have their charge reduced and ta-da! their gun rights restored.

No, because the thing being talked about is the U.S Constitution
nigga you've got some serious Orwellian shit going on in your head.

6401
Because both are correct. It's correct by virtue and content
The two can't both be correct. It's either by virtue or by content.

A constitution which endows government oppression, racism and whatever else cannot be right by virtue but not content.
Except the U.S Constitution doesn't endow those things
It's like you're trying to miss the point.

6402
kinder right now

6403
So what you're saying is it is right because you agree with it.
It's right because it is right
Oh my God, stop dodging the question.

Is it right by virtue of being the constitution, or is it right because of its contents?
virtue of being the constitution
So, if the constitution said "Negroes shall not be considered equal to whites"

it would still be right?

6405
So what you're saying is it is right because you agree with it.

6406
The Constitution is the highest law of the land. Ignoring that is no different than Congress enforcing laws, despite not their role to do so
Has it ever occurred that the law of the land, regardless of its altitude, could be wrong?
Nope. Free speech, privacy, self-defense, fair trial, etc is far from wrong. The U.K can learn a thing or two from the U.S

Has it ever occurred that the law of the land, regardless of its altitude, could be wrong?

welcome to American conservatism

6408
Except I'm not refusing to understand. Comparing something in the Constitution to something not is not even a logical concept.
It's like you think the Constitution is infallible, by virtue of being the constitution.

nigga congress doesn't enforce laws

congressmen don't go around handcuffing teenagers for smoking weed or giving people speeding tickets

oh wait you weren't claiming that that is happening, that was an example. my bad.

Serious / Re: How long until Republicans repeal Obamacare?
« on: November 04, 2014, 10:26:39 PM »
They'd better fucking not repeal it.

Obamacare is the reason my 60 year-old father is able to get basic fucking healthcare. He can't afford it otherwise.

If that shit goes away I can realistically see myself getting into some militia shit. I do not want my dad to get sick and die of something preventable, or even just not be able to have the basics he needs, just because some old rich fucks want to spend more money on tanks than on people.

If government was out of healthcare completely everyone could afford it and no one would be robbed. Not to mention healthcare would be far superior.
There is not a bit of truth in this post.
