I don't know just how willing German soldiers from that time period would be to commit some of the acts that modern extremists are capable of doing.
yeah dude, it takes a lot more balls to take a few heads than it does to shove hundreds of men, women, and children into a gas chamber.
>German soldiers
>running the concentration camps

lolno

That was a job reserved for SS goons.

The Wehrmacht, the real German army, was busy fighting a war.

The biggest problem with multiculturalism is that you get people like this.

These men are American by birth alone.

For illuminati fans, it's good to note that Warren Buffett was against the pipeline because he owns railroads currently used to transport oil. It's more expensive and far more dangerous than the pipeline, but at least we're saving the environment, right?
That's not even an Illuminati thing - that's just capitalism.
How is artificially depressing competition via government policy capitalism?
How isn't it? They're using the system to gain the best business advantage.
You really don't understand the focus on competition in capitalism, do you?

Don't you hate Skyrim?
Skyrim is like an abusive partner.

There's so much wrong with it and I know I'm an idiot but I just keep crawling back to it.

Nah the only TES game I have nothing good to say about is Oblivion. Now that game is a piece of shit.

Gaming / Re: Would you like a remastered Mass Effect trilogy?
« on: February 23, 2015, 11:02:19 PM »
The fuck?

Why?

Consolefags are the worst. If you wanted to keep playing last-gen games you should have kept your old fucking console, holy shit.

There's absolutely no point in re-releasing the trilogy. ME1 looks as good as games that came out years after it. It's aged more gracefully than just about any other game I can think of that has tried the "realistic" art style. ME2's graphics also still hold up just fine, and ME3, for all of the shitty writing, remains one of the best looking games of it's generation.

The Flood / Re: would you break the law if it made you safer?
« on: February 23, 2015, 10:57:13 PM »
You can break the law if you think it will make your life better. However, you risk facing consequences for doing such. It's better to get a permission, and keep the whole matter quiet. Never show or use your gun unless it's last resort. Keep the ammo and the gun separated.
I would never advise to keep the ammunition and the gun separated when carrying. It's a bad idea and it gives the attacker several extra seconds to get to you. Often time those are several extra seconds that you don't have. If you really don't trust yourself with the ammo and the gun together, the most I would ever except would be keeping the loaded magazine in the gun but the chamber empty. Even then, that's stretching it. If you're prepared to carry a firearm and use it in self-defense, you should be prepared to keep it loaded.

I dunno man, I had a habit of only loading five because old wheel gun and carrying on an empty chamber.
If you trained at it, it shouldn't take much more time to slide your action on a modern handgun, or even do it on the draw.

I only feel comfortable walking with a red m16 because it's in my hands and nothing but my thumb can fuck with that safety.
Refer to the videos above
I watched them.

And dry running with some reenactor-type prop-like weaponry, I don't think that girl reacted as fast as one could

I mean, I'm drunk, and it's still one fluid, quick motion from this

Even with this stupidly long barrel that would be beyond reasonable for a CCW.
Revolvers are a completely different concept when it comes to having an empty chamber. I personally still wouldn't take the chance.
There can't be that much a time difference between cocking a hammer and pulling a slide, right?
I mean, yeah, I little further to move, but still... a similar draw can be made, right?
Do you even own a semi-automatic handgun? Cocking a hammer and racking a slide are two completely different motions that each require different applications of force. With a hammer, all you need is your thumb on one hand, With a slide, you need an entire free hand. If you are prepared to carry, you should be prepared to carry loaded.
No, I don't. That's why I'm asking these questions, and why if I ever get another handgun I'm going to be biased towards snubnose revolvers.

It is your duty as an American to break unjust laws, especially those that violate your constitutional rights.

So yes, carry.

Completely agree.

Polítical freedom has next to no value when compared with civil and economic freedom.
You need political freedom in order to preserve civil and economic freedom, as I understand it.

Can we please stop giving Brianna fucking Wu the attention she so blatantly thrives off of? Whenever we actually make headway in fighting for ethical journalistic practices in GG, another one of these manufactured scandals comes along to suffocate all of the oxygen out of the room and draw the attention away from the actual issue. Brianna Wu hasn't been relevant since Jump Street, so why we're still giving her publicity is beyond me.
Fucking this.

Same thing with Literally Who and Anita, they're only distractions.

Our real targets are people like Totilo and Patricia Hernandez.

You know, you're not obligated to be my friend if I offend you by this. If you don't think I'm cool anymore I don't blame you. I lost my coolness by the time I turned 20. Hate took over.

I've been battling with the struggle of love and anger and the anger has won. It's impossible for me to go back to the way I was. I've tried changing back but it didn't work. I still had it in me and doubt it will ever go away. I have no control over it anymore. It has become part of me.

And if I truly am a distusting induvidal, I could have done far worse than I did in this thread.

I could have posted personal pictures of my best friend or my other female friend, but I would never do that. Do you know why? Because I they have earned my respect and I'd never do that to them.

Felicia on the other hand, she hasn't earned my respect and frankly, I don't respect her.

She's done far more than just "hurt my feelings."

She allowed an entire armada to troll the shit out of me in TFS and would laugh with them.

She's like that giant spider from Courage the Cowardly dog. She'll eat your head off.

Serious / I crave an ethnicity
« on: February 22, 2015, 08:17:02 PM »
Lately, I've been reading about a lot of ancient history, about people like Sargon of Akkad, Hannibal, tribes like the Huns and the Goths. And it's got me wondering a lot about my own background.

I don't know much about the background of my family at all. My mother's family has lived along the coast of North Carolina for the entirety of their time in America, as far as I know. They claim to be descended from one of the Swiss founders of New Bern, North Carolina. I don't know if this is true or not, I've never seen any documents or the like. I have even less to go on with my father. All I know is they were farmers in southern NC since at least some time before the Civil War.

Other than that I don't really know much about myself. My last name is unquestionably English in origin, as is my mother's maiden name, Salter, and my Grandmother's, Coward. I don't really know if anything can be derived from my facial features. People often say that I look "german", but my impression is that this is derived from a poor understanding of Nazi eugenics and their idealized version of a germanic people tied together, largely, by features that are attractive.

I don't really have the time or money to bother with something like Ancestry.com. Even if I did, I'm not sure it can tell me what I want to know. I want documents or the like telling me, at least, where in Europe my ancestors came from, if not records going back further. I've thought about trying one of those blood tests too, but my understanding of genetics is very poor and it could be misleading.

I'm very conflicted about all this, too. I've often taken pride in what I like to think of as anti-nationalism, the idea that ethnicity and geographic origin are nothing to be proud of, that we should strive to distinguish and take pride in ourselves as individuals, not in past accomplishments by ancestors or collective cultural achievements. Wanting to know more about my genetic background, and the culture of my ancestors, is something new and a bit scary to me.

Is it worth it to look into one of those ancestry sites or genetic tests? Or is there another way? Is this even something I should pursue or is it intellectual cyanide?

Antisemitism is a legitimate problem, Islamophobia is not.

I'd like to point out that Antisemitism does not refer specifically to discrimination against Jews, but against any Semitic people.
