Lately I've been incorporating some surplus stuff into my wardrobe because A: it's usually of fairly durable material and B: if you wear it with the right stuff it's basically hipster shit on a budget. I think I pull it off but I'm trying hard not to overdo it, I only even own one piece of clothing with a camouflage pattern on it. You also have to make sure it's foreign and doesn't resemble anything currently used by your country's military, otherwise you look like a poor kid wearing dad's old BDUs or big bro's hand-me-downs.
C: cold weather field gear or flight outfits are the warmest shit you'll ever own
D: fish fur is totes hipster chic.

See, here's the thing. Human life has very little value. There are ~7 Billion motherfuckers running around this earth, and the new ones are rolling off the factory floor faster than we can get rid of the old ones. No matter what year it is, no matter which party is in charge of which government, no matter what anyone does, murder and violence will always happen. This is inevitable. We live in a world of limited resources and space. There is always going to be some group out there, usually many of them, in fact, slaughtering innocents by the hundreds. That's just how we are. Now, what you do not hear about every day, is the destruction of ancient history, of artifacts that tie a people to their ancestors. You have to be genuinely insane for that. For a people to go around destroying their own cultural heritage in the name of Islam? To erase their own history in the name of ideology? Absolutely disgusting.

Some of that shit they're breaking predates your European ancestors learning to read and write. It's a pretty big fucking deal. Part of why I, personally, hate the Abrahamic religions is the destruction of centuries-old artifacts and culture in the name of the Abrahamic god. This is why we know so little about ancient European and middle-eastern religion. Wahabbists like ISIS are the worst, though, they destroy all monuments and iconography because they see it as idolatry.

Anyway, Jim is right in that, generally, more expensive clothes will be made of nicer materials, up to a certain point. I don't get the whole designer thing but then I'm not really interested in putting a major portion of my budget into clothing. It's really up to personal preference.
That said I can't stand cheap, walmart-tier shirts and pants. If you're going to buy jeans, make sure they're nice ones. Cheap jeans are more obviously cheap shit than any other article of clothing. I can only usually tell a cheap shirt from a nice shirt by the fit, but you can see cheapo poorfag jeans a mile away.

Do you at least own or plan on owning an AR-15?
I've changed my plans up a bit and will probably acquire a nice gaymen PC before I get my first gun, so I'll probably save up for a while and try to get something nice. Been considering building an AR from an 80% receiver so I don't end up on the ATF's secret and probably illegal confiscation registry, but with the ATF jumping on M855 I'm not sure it's a good idea. I'm going to see how that plays out first.
