Why would I, as a gamer and as a person who believes journalists have ethical responsibilities to fulfill, not associate myself with GamerGate? It's silly and an act of dishonesty to myself and others.

I understand it was originally to do with ethics in journalism regarding video games This is and has always been what it is about. The idea that this has anything to do with sexism at all is a tremendous lie spread by these journalists to try and discredit their critics. It's not all that different from just screaming "racist" at someone criticizing President Obama. This is how it goes: *Zoe Quinn, a developer, sleeps with men in the gaming press, at least one of them gives her positive press without disclosing that they have a personal relationship* GG: "This is not okay, game developers and journalists should not be in bed together." Journos and sheep: "HURRR UR JUST MAD CUZ U CANT STAND A STRONG INDEPENDENT WOMAN HAVING SEX WITH WHO SHE WANTS TO" These people are intentionally missing the point so they have something horrible of accusing the opposition of being, in this case "misogynist". Even if this is good for video game journalism, I still think it has a long way to go. It's nearly been 2 years since DICE was found to be using incentives with popular reviewers to make BF4 seem better than the reality, and although they aren't strictly "journalists", reviewers have far too much influential power in the industry to be ignored too.
This is more the fault of the publishers than that of the journos.

Yeah, China is dumping billions into building up their military, but even their most advanced Jin-class subs are louder and shittier than Soviet vessels from 30 fucking years ago.
China wants to be the regional bully but that's just not going to happen. The minute they cross the line, the US and it's regional allies can drive their economy into the ground via embargo.
China is not a threat, and can only be a real threat if their economy keeps growing for another ~40 or so years.

Lately I've been incorporating some surplus stuff into my wardrobe because A: it's usually of fairly durable material and B: if you wear it with the right stuff it's basically hipster shit on a budget. I think I pull it off but I'm trying hard not to overdo it, I only even own one piece of clothing with a camouflage pattern on it. You also have to make sure it's foreign and doesn't resemble anything currently used by your country's military, otherwise you look like a poor kid wearing dad's old BDUs or big bro's hand-me-downs.
C: cold weather field gear or flight outfits are the warmest shit you'll ever own
D: fish fur is totes hipster chic.

Eh I can understand the appeal what with Fincher attempting to recapture the tone of the first movie even though I personally didn't enjoy it.
I think it was a really bad decision. The very nature of the 2nd film makes it very hard to be be scared by a lone Xenomorph. Cameron's film turned Michael Myers in space into a more typical action movie villain. Rather than trying to make up for this, they really should have gone in a new direction.
