just gonna leave this here

I don't have to pay for other peoples guns.

Why should I have to pay for other peoples hospital bills if I haven't been in a hospital since my child was born?

Socialism is retarded.
It's literally like car insurance you idiot. You have to pay a penalty if you don't have insurance for your car. It's a simple tax that provides a right for everyone. Stop buying into people who are behind literally the rest of the developed world.
"europeans are doing it, so we should too!"

How can you keep all 50 states teaching the same curriculum if you remove the DoE's ability to do so?
Not sure, and that's certainly an important question, but I think it's a mis-characterisation to say this is a likely outcome of his policy.

Nevertheless, I'm more concerned about his balanced budget amendment. Now that is fucking dumb.
I don't think you understand how hard American Christians fight to teach their beliefs in public schools.
I don't think you understand how little it matters in the face of economy and geopolitics.
Except I'm not talking about economics and geopolitics, I'm specifically talking about his position on the Department of Education.
I just don't think it's a big deal. Evolutionary biology and astrophysics, which you implied were your main concerns, are not a big deal. I'd be more worried about making sure the more practical STEM and health realms are being adequately taught. Creationism vs scientific origin isn't worth worrying about.
You may not think it's important, but I don't think purposefully teaching children the wrong thing is beneficial in any way, and does more damage than just in biology class.
To be fair, creationists don't know it's wrong. They mean well, and as I understand it want creationism presented alongside scientific origin and natural selection.

What kind of consequences do you expect to come of it?
Well, I for one don't quite like the idea of a scientifically illiterate populace.
okay so aside from muh feels?

It is an objective and scientifically proven fact that Obama and the liberal way is superior to any conservative and their solutions.
While it is true that liberalism is the superior philosophy, you are not a liberal. Leftism=/=liberalism.

Serious / Re: Bernie Sanders
« on: October 15, 2015, 05:24:03 PM »
Of the current candidates, his ideas are the least impractical. Everyone agrees America is broken. Our system pools resources in the hands of the very few, and those with the means have demonstrated that they do not have the general population's best interest at heart. Industrialists up until the early 80's counted themselves as Americans first. That isn't the case. Main St America has suffered because of this. Bernie may not have the ideal solutions, but at least he's going in the right direction.
lol

Nigga you need those "industrialists", their tax dollars actually fund shit.

And if they're not Americans first anymore, good luck keeping them around once the soaking starts.

They're not staying now. You seem to be living under the impression they aren't already shipping jobs overseas and dodging their taxes.
And you think the solution is to demand they stay while also making conditions less favorable than they already are?

Bending over for them hasn't really panned out. Simple idea: if you offshore your HQ to dodge taxes, and offshore your manufacturing, you have to pay a high tariff to import your goods into the US. At that point you aren't an American company anymore. Bring in jobs or tax revenue.
"Wow that's fuckin gay I guess I won't trade in the USA anymore"
