The parallel episode format isn't great, but the new characters are. I was hoping they would use the lack of weapons, food, and safety as a springboard to relive S1/S2 excitement, but they've solely focused on Negan (and JDM is fantastic, but is basically carrying the entire show).
As someone who lost interest in the show and its premise years ago, would now be a decent time to jump back in just for the Negan memery? Winter break is coming up and I'll have more downtime than I want or need.

The results showed that King Tut belonged to a genetic profile group, known as haplogroup R1b1a2, to which more than 50 percent of all men in Western Europe belong, indicating that they share a common ancestor.
Among modern-day Egyptians this haplogroup contingent is below 1 percent, according to iGENEA.
"It was very interesting to discover that he belonged to a genetic group in Europe -- there were many possible groups in Egypt that the DNA could have belonged to," said Roman Scholz, director of the iGENEA Centre.
Around 70 percent of Spanish and 60 percent of French men also belong to the genetic group of the Pharaoh who ruled Egypt more than 3,000 years ago.
"We think the common ancestor lived in the Caucasus about 9,500 years ago," Scholz told Reuters.
It is estimated that the earliest migration of haplogroup R1b1a2 into Europe began with the spread of agriculture in 7,000 BC, according to iGENEA.

/pol/'s investigation of the Podesta email leaks led to suspicion that the he and the Clintonss were tied up in some kind of elite, secret pedophilia and child-trafficking ring. For reasons I do not quite comprehend, the clues and evidence led them to fixate on a place called Comet Pizza, a restaurant in DC whose owner is friends with Democrat officials in DC (just how high up the ladder he's gotten is unclear, but IIRC he knows Podesta personally). Things kind of snowballed from there, with /pol/acks actually driving to the fucking place and poking around, taking photographs and examining every detail possible. It started becoming a household name in alt-right circles, with hundreds of people joining in the "investigation". The mainstream media started trying to dismiss and cover up the whole thing by running stories about how "Fake News Epidemic Leads to Harassment of Humble DC Pizza Man". Which, of course, led to everyone even remotely sympathetic to the investigation doubling the fuck down and making things snowball even more. Because, like, the Podestas are into some weird shit, but I dunno if there really is an in-between in this sort of scenario. A lot of the conspiracy theory is built on pretty far out assumptions and connections that don't make sense unless you'd already accepted it as true.
I do not believe the DNC or the Clinton Foundation are directly involved in human trafficking. They're probably just engaged in run of the mill corporate cronyism, corruption, and pay-to-play schemes. I am convinced that something is amiss here, though. The DNC and CF are, I think, almost certainly tied to individuals who are connected to or engage in human trafficking. Does John Podesta pick his child sex slaves up at Comet Pizza? I don't think so. But I wouldn't dismiss all of it outright, either.
