For-profit, state-run, the fact of the matter is that mass media is a breeding ground for bullshit.

I'm also kind of mad that Scott didn't call them out for trying to bait him into feeding their propaganda machine.

Serious / Iceland backs Brexit
« on: March 10, 2016, 04:27:06 PM »
Britain has little say over decisions made in the EU, which is increasingly dominated by Germany, the Prime Minister of Iceland has said.

Sigmundur Gunnlaugsson claimed that the UK is wielding “diminishing power” within the bloc as many of its institutions are still under the sway of France and Germany.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Mr Gunnlaugsson said: “When it comes to the big stuff the decisions are made by two, and increasingly one country.

“This seems to have become the standard way of doing things in Brussels.”

Iceland has never joined the EU and withdrew its application for membership last year after opening talks in 2009. It is held up as an example for Britain if it decides to leave the EU as it still has access to the single market and is also a member of the European Free Trade Area along with Norway and Liechtenstein.

Mr Gunnlaugsson also said Iceland was ready to open trade talks with Britain should it vote to leave the EU.

DOOR I HAVE TO KNOW

DID TRUMP DO THE HEIL OR DID HE BACK DOWN UNDER PRESSURE FROM SHLOMO AND THE ANTI-DEFAMATION LEAGUE?
I have a video of him commenting on the reaction I can upload to youtube to post if you want.

What I didn't get in the video was him saying "so I probably won't ask you to do it", and the audience immediately reacting by raising their hands and promising to vote for him. Not sure if it was genuine enthusiasm or reverse psychology at work but I kek'd pretty hard.

He cuts out the PC shit and really exposes democracy for what is actually is- an absurd show, all steam and no substance. He's a living commentary.
American* democracy. It's not like this everywhere.
No, it is. It's just caked in even more makeup elsewhere.

Shit was fun as fuck. Trump has a good hype crew, and really knows how to handle a crowd.

Stumped the fuck out of the fat protesters that popped up trying to disrupt the rally. Some of them even tried starting fights with vets lmao. Trump asked one of them if his parents were voting for him, and the guy just gave him the finger. Little japanese lady next to me tore some BLM cunt a new asshole.

I fucking died when he was talking about the wall. "It's gonna be a huge, wonderful wall. And who's gonna pay for it?"
Audience: "MEXICO!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Funny enough a lot of the protesters outside were waving Mexican flags. Doesn't that kind of reinforce Trump's point?
This seems like more of a "show" rather than a rally. Like, it's just for entertainment at this point.
That is pretty much why I went, yeah.

This is what I like about Trump though. He cuts out the PC shit and really exposes democracy for what is actually is- an absurd show, all steam and no substance. He's a living commentary.

There's this weird visual dissonance here. Trump's hype people are all really young, well dressed, and have good haircuts. Most of the locals are fat old people with heavy accents. A bit in between but those are the majority.

I was gonna get Windows 10 but then I realized that I don't really need it. I'm still on Windows 7.
Yeah, hold onto it as long as you can. 7 is still the best OS out there.

Why would anyone choose windows 8 over 10?

Yeah, 10 isn't as good as 7. It's extremely streamlined in the Bethesda sense of the word.

But it's still a hundred times better than Windows 8.

Quote
"I did not vote for you. Either time. I have voted Republican for the entirety of my life. I proudly wore pins and planted banners displaying my Republican loyalty. I was very vocal in my opposition to you -- particularly the ACA. Before I briefly explain my story allow me to first say this: I am so very sorry. I was so very wrong.

"You saved my life. My President, you saved my life, and I am eternally grateful.

"I have a 'pre-existing condition' and so could never purchase health insurance. Only after the ACA came into being could I be covered. Put simply to not take up too much of your time if you are in fact taking the time to read this: I would not be alive without access to care I received due to your law. Thank you for serving me even when I didn't vote for you. Thank you for being my President."
I, too, get White House emails.
