I meant like the chords, are they similar on both instruments? You play both, so I was wondering if you had to learn them both differently, or if they were mostly the same, just obvious differences in rhythm while playing.
If that makes sense...
Er... chords on a bass are rarely used outside of like, avant-garde jazz. I'm really not much of a guitarist though. I can play power chords and blues scales, so I wouldn't really say I ever learned how to play a guitar.

Is there much of a difference between playing guitar and playing bass?
That depends. You have to follow the drummer more with a bass. The main point is that you want your lines to be felt more than just heard. That's what rhythm guitar is about, filling in the sound. It's not hard to play bass, it's hard to stand out playing bass, and that's how you recognize the truly great players.

You are in a band, right?
I have been wanting to learn to play an instrument for a long time, just for my own entertainment, not to play with other people really. I am unsure of what I would want to play though. I have thought about the guitar and also the violin. I know they are very different, which is why I have a had a difficult time making a choice.
Yup, bass player in a rock cover band, and I do some stuff own my own.

Why do you have so many guitars? And how much did all of that cost? If you do not mind me asking.
Edit: And it is cute that they all have names! =^.^=
There really isn't a reason other than because I can, lol. And it's nice to have variety in tonal options. I think in the course of seven years, I've put about five thousand into all of my gear.

Did someone say gear sluts? Spoilered images inbound! The guitars: Spoiler Amber, my main bass. A beautiful Schecter Stiletto Studio Six. I fucking love all that alliteration. Behind her is a five string I no longer have and Jessica, my four that I've had for years. Zoey, my short scale, guitar tuned, Schecter Ultra VI Natalie, my newest acquisition, an ESP 206SM Beth, the acousticl A 1960's Lyle (motsumoku company) SG knock off that I sometimes use for writing purposes The gear: Spoiler I've re-ordered them, but this is still my current effects roster. I don't have any pictures of my amp setup, but it's a 500 watt Ampeg Portaflex head going into a 210 and 115 PF cab, and for convenience and practice purposes, I have a nice and light Carvin mb210, which at 35 pounds still manages an impressive volume at 250 watts. There's only one difference I'd make if I had the money. An Ampeg SVT tube head and 8x10 cab.

Munich is really expensive. Berlin is really cheap. I wanted to live in Munich at first, but then I saw the living costs and decided that I'm not willing to go through the stress of expenses.
Do it for the bavarian girls!

Remove the first three and femboys, and you get a lot of my fetishes.
However, I like stabbing, cutting, slicing, and impaling, as I indicated in my other thread. Especially around the torso area. That with lots of blood is literally instant arousal. I can't really explain why, but I get some weird joy reading about incidents, or seeing them happen (usually in anime >.>). Though I wouldn't actually perform in such a thing myself. Thankfully.
So, wait, you don't recognize the superiority of Bavaria over other Germanic regions? We can't be freinds anymore

Kiyo is cute though.
Maybe in the way a mako shark is cute... I never try to take her seriously, yet somehow I can never bring myself to completely like her.

Well, herr Comms officer, here we go...
Bavarian accents make me hard instantly. Crossdressers Trans girls Asians Feet Women's shoes Choking me also results in an instant boner Pain Restriction/bondage (preference for chains over ropes) femboys Rape fantasies I frequently find myself enjoying the pornographic abuse of women, though I kind of hate myself afterwords. Incest, though personally I wouldn't do any of my immediate family.

I don't think that minimum wage should be a livibale solo wage automatically, I just don't think all of todays min wage jobs should be min wage. I mean, I work for a rather small FBO fueling and towing aircraft. It's not exactly "skilled labor" but it's not something just any motherfucker off the streets can do. We have an employee now who proves that... but anyway, I actually work less during my shift than a fast food worker does during half of his most days and make a good bit more. That makes no sense to me. We need to rethink how we think physical labor should be rated on a payscale.

Out of curiosity, does anyone up vote mods even though it doesn't affect their title?
I still downvote Kiyo even though it means nothing. Just satisfies me somehow.
