I never got why people get so offended by being told they have white privilege. The entire point of being told that is to make you guilty. So, don't feel guilty. You didn't set up the system nor choose to benefit from it. It's just what you were born into. Yeah, white males statistically have an easier go. But you aren't a statistic. You're an Individual. The twin VC-25's that are currently the primary Air Force Ones that we recognize have 26 years in service, having been delivered to the white house in 1990. Now, military aircraft have different standards, restrictions and inspections than civilians under the FAA, but either way they're coming up on a time in their life where extensive maintenance, structural inspections, engine timeouts, hot sections, and all good kinds of great sounding stuff are going to be piling up and occurring more frequently. They're also not ADS-B compliant for when that requirement hits.
It's perfectly acceptable to procure new aircraft for the president after 26 years.
