Define "human dignity"
I don't really think that needs to be defined.
Nah, it does.
Dignity to me is respect for people. Honor.
Forcing someone to do something like eat dirt would be to violate their dignity, and if the picture is true, you could disobey the order. I believe it's because of the Nazis, they don't want to their modern military to resemble anything they did in the past.
Well, I'm fairly certain that forcing your subordinate to literally eat dirt would be an unlawful order, as that's not even close to being covered as NJP... so... you could refuse that order in the US army.
No, an order given to you telling you to force an enemy combatant to do something.
My question is if this is even true and what does it constitute. Where are the lines drawn and what orders may be disobeyed.
Oh, there are rules about how to treat captured/surrendering combatants and civilians, and "I was just following orders" has been proven in courts marshal to not be a justifiable reason to break these rules.
I'm wondering what it means and what type of orders can be disobeyed by German soldiers.
Find some Bundeswehr guy on like, arfcom and ask him.

Easy way to boost numbers, like an auxiliary, but they should be held to the same standards and RoE as the sending nation.

You have to remember that using a sword like that would require a difference in tactics such as more power attacks/ slower more methodical ways of fighting.
Yeah... no. Hollywood swordfighting gets you killed every single time.

To people complaining about Boyega being a Stormtrooper...by the time the OT takes place a lot of Stormtroopers are recruits, and only some are still clones. By the time of this movie, it is possible that these guys are hired mercs who are only in it for the money, or are conscripted against their will to fight by what's left of the Empire. And this is thirty years after the OT...I don't think there would be any Jango clones still in service, unless they are still actively cloning. They have shorter life spans, and also they'd be in their fifties/sixties for a normal person. People seem to be forgetting these facts.
I don't think it's the fact that he's black that we're pissing on, but that he was essentially a goddamn jump scare and made no sense.

Bungie Logic? They just stole that Idea from James Russel and the Creative Assembly.
Yeah.
They're going to steal ideas to bank more money for "their" content, and make people wait for months and pay people for the exact same price as when it came out.
Pretty much, just like what CA did with the Shogun 2 and Rome 2 faction pack DLC's and the Blood and Gore DLC.

I live in an Army town, and I know a lot of Rangers, current and former.
This attitude is almost universal among those guys.
I see a lot of "infidel" bumper stickers, too.
This may come as a surprise to some of you guys, but soldiers are usually pretty ignorant, simple-minded guys. There are obviously exceptions, but grunts are, generally, not very smart. This goes all the way to the top-tier special forces guys as well, if any of you are familiar with the Chris Kyle/Jesse Ventura spat.
A good portion, maybe even the majority, of the Army sees our involvement in the middle east as a holy war, a new crusade against islam. I've spoken to some vets, including my former scoutmaster, and they all had very disturbing things to say about muslims.
The Army itself may try to present a face of multicultural secularism as a way to bring in recruits, but it is very much a christian-controlled institution, with all of the discrimination and favoritism that entails.
Unfortunately, I'm inclined to agree with you. This kind of attitude in the Guard though seems to be restricted to the old guys who were active duty first.

When you think about it, plenty of mainstream religions have a single deity at their head, especially Judaism and Islam. I don't see it as relating to one specific religion
We all know it's intent and implications though...

I don't mind the third verse of our song because it's just an old tradition, but recruitment posters like that are wrong to me. The army is a multicultural organization that accommodates people of all religions, not a crusading Christian band of Templars.

People are going to argue the same for officers, or for a plethora of jobs.
Passing laws to prosecute protestors, because it's an inconvenience to people, isn't going to make anything better. However, it should be easier for people to find out where protests are going on to adjust travel plans as necessary.
I have no problem with protesting. It's when you cause a serious inconvenience to other people. The fuck are they doing across a road?
Because like it or not, no one in America gives a fuck unless they directly have to deal with it.
Protesting off to the side in a grass? Good luck getting any attention.
Protesting across an interstate? Congratulations, now everyone hates your movement.
