Hey Das, remember how much fun the off-topic thread on Coup was?
Yeah, but that wasn't just a spam thread.. most of the time, given that it was our main place for discussion of everything not coup.

Could have just wounded him.
God, I hate when people make this argument.
That's not how it works. Shooting to injure is highly unreliable. You shoot for the center of mass to disable the threat.
Thats a terribly american thing to say. Im just saying >.> That's how firearm training works. Not only is shooting to injure/disarm VERY difficult, especially on a moving target or from a vehicle with a handgun, but even if you do shoot the person in the leg or arm, the threat isn't eliminated. You also increase the risk of injuring innocent bystanders.
Finnish police only shot 6 times this year.
..ok?
Well then. The training there must be lack luster.
That's a standard, world-wide, basic firearm handling practice.

> metal > good music
neoclassical metal is pretty much objectively the best music nowadays. the guys who write it are composers. the likes of Malmsteen and Vai understand music more than anyone. absolute geniuses.
I just can't get in to Malmsteen. He has no soul, man.

Can't prove it happened.
Fuck off. The camps are there. There are survivors that are alive.
If you don't accept all the other proof, you can't deny people that actually lived through it. Well, you can, but you'd look like an idiot.
Camps don't prove that 6,000,000 jews were gassed.
I'm actually with you, here.
6,000,000 didn't die.
The Holocaust happened, it was horrendous, it should never happen again.
But I have my doubts about the 6,000,000 figure.
As you should. In 1933, Europe's Jewish population was around 9.3 million. In the events leading up to and during the Holocaust, figures reliably point to around 4.5 million Jews leaving Europe to seek refuge. Assuming these statistics are on the conservative side and being generous with a population increase before the final solution, Hitler would have had to kill every single European Jew left to hit the 6 million number, and if you look at the design of the Nazi death camps, they were in no way efficient enough to do that. I've got no credentials here, but I think a 2.5 million number is a little more correct based on what I've read over the years.

I think with the top being flat and straight it's supposed to take less effort to make a deep stab.

He's a brony and a EU supporter. What's not to dislike?
....I support the EU as well you know. If it weren't for the EU, my future plans would be nearly impossible as I wouldn't have even bothered getting my Greek passport as Greece is kind of in the shitter right now. But since Greece is part of the EU, that makes me an EU citizen, so that instantly allows me to live in Germany. So of course I'm extremely grateful for the EU.
What's so bad about supporting the EU anyways? It has plenty of flaws, yes, but I think that a lot of people don't realize how many doors the EU opens up to people.
they're wannabe communists and Muslim apologists.

Are you under 18? If so, Congrats! When your parents tell you to do something, so long as it's not illegal or threatening, then you listen and do it
Yes, they have the right, but is it really right? In the end it'll just make OP dislike Christianity and put a space between him and his parents.
Nah. My parents made sure I went to church, my grandparents made sure my parents went to church. I also know several people that had to attend church and they're not distasteful of Christianity. It's not going to do a person harm to sit for an hour once a week and listen to a person talk. Children are forced to attend school and there isn't a mass national drop-out rate because of it
Nobody I know enjoyed attending church/bible studies as a child; most were dragged to it by their parents. Only one person that I know below the age of 50 attends church regularly, and most of the people I know say that they're Christians. I'm sure there's a connection here and a better way to explain it, but I'm in another cycle of sleep related issues and can't fully put this argument into the words I need.
I never liked to go myself, but I don't hate my parents or have disdain of the religion. I'm actually happy they made me go, looking back on it
Yeah, but that's just Schema type confirmation bias kicking in... or something.

I'd be inclined to remember if Seinfeld wasn't such a shit show.
Growing up in the 90's I remember watching it together with my parents, even though I didn't get some of the adult jokes. I still remember the Festivus episode and it was on tonight. Our family doesn't even have a tree up, we should have put up a pole. How can you hate Seinfeld? Back when sitcoms were good...
Kramer was the only good character. Jerry wasn't funny, Elane was annoying and cringeworthy at times, George only got laughs from sadists when shit happened to him.
