Yes, this is true. Common.... assertion, I suppose, is that the 6million figure refers solely to Jews systematically eliminated at death camps. I really don't get why they don't have him naming the ones that are the closest to him for that series. You would think Pikachu would have a nickname by now out of friendship and respect. Ash calling Pikachu Pikachu would be like him calling Misty "women" every time he addressed her.
