In my experience plenty of people are willing to take such an initiative, but are less likely when they have a false sense of security and believe cops will solve all of our problems. Really, they're just glorified investigators and show up too late. You should ensure your own security. I have personally helped others before, and I'd hope others would do the same.

What's it like to be able to hunt with semi automatic weapons? In PA we are still not allowed to hunt with our semi's like the AR-15 or AKM's. So we end up investing hundreds or thousands into a gun we can only use to hunt paper targets or beer cans.
Add Ohio to that list too. You can only hunt with shotguns or with cartridges with straight walls.
Aren't there wax shell workarounds to that law?

Hunting with a manual rifle is the only way to hunt. You don't need a semi-automatic gun to kill an animal.
You might change your mind if you just spent over $650 on a gun and you end up finding out you're one of the only two states that bans them for hunting. Really though a semi for hunting would kinda be a good idea. If your first round hits but doesn't kill it. You're able to put a second round into it pretty damn fast. So it greatly removes the possibility of the deer getting away when injured.
That sucks. I'm guessing there are regulations against you hunting with your gun outside of PA and/or you don't want to drive out of state every time you want to hunt.
No idea. Worst comes to worst I can always get a New York State license. I'm about 30 minutes from the border and I live in the same wooded areas. When you think about it it is kinda of a fuck you. With the AR-15 you can get them in camo which implies that it's for hunting. Then all of a sudden you find out you can't use it for hunting.
Dude, non-resident deer tags in PA are expensive. I can't imagine what they would be in fucking NY.
