I haven't watched the video, but from your post it sounds like this is literally the exact argument I have been making against (public) carrying for years now. It has been shown that the hardcore criminals and gangbangers only make up a fraction of gun violence and homicides. It is your typical law abiding gun owner gone bad or behaving irresponsibly who is responsible for almost all of these instances.
What made you change your mind like this?
I'm not against concealed carry and I doubt I ever will be. However, gun owners need to stop thinking they're John fucking Wayne and get rid of any hero fantasies or stop wishing they have a chance to utilize their firearms if they so chose to carry.

I did orchestral percussion for years back in grade school. Around the 8th grade I picked up a bass guitar and have been going hard at that ever since.
I'm able to look like I know what I'm doing with an electric guitar... blues scales and power chords impress more people than you'd think, lol.
I picked up a drum set the other week though. It's been fun getting used to that. My arms remembered everything pretty quick but my feet have no fucking clue what they're doing.

Hitting out to the 150m target on range days with 100% accuracy is 10/10 bretty easy with irons or a non-magnifying CCO... I can't imagine how simple it is with a good optic and all the time in the world to line up your shot.
If I had the fancy magnifying shit my brother's unit does I'd doubt I'd ever miss the 250, and maybe only one of the 300's.

A recent incident in Florida prompts discussion of responsible gun ownership, recognizing if you aren't ready to carry a weapon, emphasizing the wrong reasons and attitudes behind carrying and certain facets of gun culture, and how your rights to self defense with a firearm should be for just that, defense, and never aggression. I really find myself agreeing with nearly everything he's said as well. I don't carry a firearm anymore. I don't want that responsibility. I don't trust myself with it. I'll simply avoid places of the city that are a little more dangerous. I don't try to put myself in any harmful situations anymore, and if I find myself near an active shooter in public, well, I'm aware of the consequences.
