To me some of the things they added seemed like they were trying them out to see if they want to have them in Destiny or see how they work. So by "demo for Destiny" they were using Reach for the test game. For bloom to me they testing out a recoil mechanic they were thinking about using for it. For armor abilities I find it strange that they added something majoir like that in their last Halo game. You would think adding something as game changing like that would be in Halo 3 so they know what not to do for Reach. Having them in Destiny to me is implying they were testing them out to see if they would work good or not for Destiny.
Bloom was just a half-baked response to "BR is too good at too long range." Nothing more, nothing less. Halo 3 had pick-up equipment on the map, seems ike a big change from H2's guns and 'nades only stuff. AA's were simply the next natural step in a franchise that was slowly becoming less and less pure arena shooter.
