Forcing others to take care of you is not progress, it actually just hurts everyone. Nearly everyone could afford it if the government didn't make it so expensive in the first place.
I'm sure you long for the days where we were hunter-gatherers and lived in mud huts

Well yeah, I suppose such a thing might be possible, but wouldn't that be just like brainwashing? It's not "real," but the subject has been zonked into feeling as such. Kinda like repression?
Pretty much.

People can genuinely convert their sexuality, they just don't like to.
If you're going to come in here with outlandish statements such as this that contradicts nearly every reputable psychological organization in the world (Other than maybe Russia), you better have a plethora of sources and studies to back it up.
Not "They just don't like to". That makes you look moronic.
What about people who are sexually fluid? They'll go a few years being straight, then bi, then gay, then bi again, then back to gay, then super gay, etc, etc.
Sexually fluid is something completely different - there are people who can be attracted to all genders and sexes. But thinking you can turn someone straight by shocking their genitals and holding prayer circles is a mockery of any scientific research.
Shock therapy is actually quite effective, it's just seen as unethical by some idiot liberals. And prayer might work, you don't know if He is real or not until you die.
Show me your credentials again>
you're lucky this isn't anarchy or i'd post an obscene picture right here
You're more than welcome to.

At least you tried.
The overwhelming amount of "Everyone already knows this" is astounding.
I guess I don't pay attention to shit. Carry on.
It's funny because think they're smart or something for knowing it. Typical retards.
I can't tell if you're generally this abrasive, or if you're trying to just act tough. It's quite amusing.

I'm just sitting here laughing at all the people who respect this guy because of his publicity stunts.
I respect him more for his work with the poor before (and still during) being named Pope.
You know, actually helping.
What has he actually done, though? The rhetoric is different but the policies are the same, no?
Pope Francis did a ton to directly help those in poverty prior to being pope. Since he's become the head of the Church and is constantly under security, it's not reasonable to expect him to directly do so. He has made moves to try and help the poor still, and have lived a much more modest lifestyle than his predecessors.
If god has a plan for him, he shouldn't have security.
Neither should the President.

For those who do not know what it is: Conversion therapy (also known as reparative therapy) is a range of treatments that aim to change sexual orientation from homosexual to heterosexual, or to convince a transgender person to give up their gender identity and instead identify with the sex and gender they were assigned at birth. In recent decades, such treatments have been increasingly criticized for being pseudo-scientific. From here: Treatments involved in Conversion therapy can include electrical shocks to the hands and/or genitals, nausea-inducing drugs...administered simultaneously with the presentation of homoerotic stimuli, masturbatory reconditioning, visualization, social skills training, psychoanalytic therapy, and spiritual interventions, such as "prayer and group support and pressure". The issue is extremely controversial, and a handful of states have banned it being used on people under 18, due to fears that it would directly impact mental growth. Your thoughts on it?

Ew, Android.
Icy pls.
I'll be honest - I haven't used an Android since 2011 when it was much shittier, so I imagine they are fine now. I just can't switch when I have all my music and videos and podcasts on iTunes. Apple has developed a nice ecosystem between the phones and computers, which I own.

It's all bullshit. When the Vatican gives away all their millions to the poor I'll respect them. When they stop oppressing and raping kids I'll respect them.
Not even going to start down that, because this thread will be derailed by Page 2
Religious leaders are almost always garbage.
I'd amend that to say most World leaders.
But I'm talking about religion specifically.
In fact, there have been more good world leaders than there has been religious leaders.
Well, that's just common sense, considering the sheer numbers. Anyways, back on the topic.

StoryPope Francis has said there are limits to freedom of expression and that in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris “one cannot make fun of faith”. On a plane from Sri Lanka to the Philippines, the largest catholic majority country in Asia, the pope said freedom of speech is a fundamental human right but “every religion has its dignity”.
Asked about the attack that killed 12 people at the offices of Charlie Hebdo - targeted because it had printed depictions of the prophet Muhammad - he said: “One cannot provoke, one cannot insult other people’s faith, one cannot make fun of faith.
“There is a limit. Every religion has its dignity ... in freedom of expression there are limits.”
He gestured to Alberto Gasparri, who organises papal trips and was standing by his side, and added: “If my good friend Dr Gasparri says a curse word against my mother, he can expect a punch. It’s normal. It’s normal. You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others.”
Cautioning against provocation he said the right to liberty of expression came with the obligation to speak for “the common good.”
Thoughts on the comments?

nigga muslims are not an ethnic group
Religion falls under the official definition of Ethnic Cleansing even though they aren't actually an ethnicity.
You actually shouldn't use the term "ethnic cleansing". It's as if there's something that's "dirty" or wrong being cleansed. There isn't.
We as a society shouldn't adopt the terms of mass murderers.
The reason the term was coined was because if they called these kinds of acts genocide, other nations would be obligated to do something about it.
Quite a shame that countries think acknowledging a problem under a different name means they are relieved of a moral duty to help.

If you're getting salt, there's simply no other way to go.
Do you expect the stock prices in salt to increase soon? I want to buy low before it's simply too much.
By tomorrow night, salt's going to be everywhere. I'd buy it up while you can.
I'll call my stockbroker immediately then.
