Best case scneario is it's just a prank bro. Hopefully nothing blows up even though I don't know what the JCC is.

This thread was pretty active. Guess it died down when Trump said he supports gays. Only president ever to openly support gays before and after being elected.

No, it's because trying to discuss issues with you is like trying to move a brick wall. Even when you're openly wrong with facts, you digress to the state of an emotional child who throws insults and acts like he knows everything. I really don't care that you support Trump or have a conservative world view - but I give up trying to have a discussion on it.

That being said, yes. I agree with Trump's decision not to rescind protections for LGBT federal employees and will applaud him for it. Doesn't mean it changes my stance on everything else so far.

Alex Jones has a video where Trump won the popular vote when you ignore the illegal immigrants that voted.

He really just used Alex Jones as a source.

There's already a thread.

I was still in high school eight years ago. How active was Obama in his first couple of weeks?
That's a very good question. I myself was pretty young.

First 100 day stuff here

Couldn't find anything smaller than that

Is this the same gallup that said Hillary has 98% chance of winning the election.
Yes, 98%, not 100%. Probability is funny like that; as it turns out, "unlikely" doesn't mean "impossible".

Approval ratings aren't probability, though. You could argue that it's not quite as low as seen given the ±3% margin of error, but then you're still looking at a 46% approval rating at the highest as of the 29th of January. It's not localized in say, Atlanta or Los Angeles, where they would likely be much lower; 1,500 US Adults have been surveyed nationally on a daily basis since the 23rd.

I understand being skeptical of news media given the awful coverage of the election, but if you're going to throw a source out entirely because they didn't start shouting to the public that Trump was a sure thing then you're only hurting yourself intellectually.
It was a question. I still don't trust that. I think the approval rate will rise when he begins to deliver his promises.

What's he been doing this first week?
More than Obama in the last 8 years.

Not too sure you understand American politics.

WASHINGTON — The White House said on Monday that President Trump would leave in place a 2014 Obama administration order that created new workplace protections for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.

In a statement issued in response to growing questions about whether Mr. Trump would reverse the Obama order, the White House said the president was proud to embrace gay rights.

“President Trump continues to be respectful and supportive of L.G.B.T.Q. rights, just as he was throughout the election,” the statement said. “The president is proud to have been the first ever G.O.P. nominee to mention the L.G.B.T.Q. community in his nomination acceptance speech, pledging then to protect the community from violence and oppression.”

Good job.

I absolutely love people who scream "Don't agree with the President? Then get the fuck out of the country"

Ironically, they were the one's disagreeing and fighting for the past 8 years.

Speculation, mostly unfounded

It's been reported at several outlets with apparent sourcing in the White House.

Speculative, yes. But let's not act like it is a lie. The Press Secretary can't even outright deny the claim

It sounds plausible enough. If this is true, the more that comes to light, the more push there's going to be against them. If he tries that LGBT stuff, or "self deportation" that's going to light a huge fire. Fuck, we don't need another civil war.

Well, there are sources saying Trump is drafting anti-LGBT executive orders.
Any idea what this would be?

So is Rudy Giuliani kind of salty that Trump didn't give him a better job? This seems like he's outing him.

I'd say it speaks to his level of stupidity.

This article is a bit more clear - Moroccan guy arrested at the mosque, Canadian guy arrested on a bridge after calling 9/11.

I'd argue that it implies the Canadian man is the suspect, while the Moroccan man is the witness. But I'll wait for further details.

Chrome does, but I find their translations to be average at best, clunky and poor at their worst.
Tblocks, you don't speak French?

Icy, it says that only one of the two men who were arrested is still considered a suspect by the police. This being Alexendre Bissonnette, a 27 year old white Quebecan man who grew up in Cap-Rouge. He called the emergency services himself and confessed to shooting up the mosque. He's a social science student at a university in the province and is said to be a loner without any friends by some of his fellow students. He's apparently known by the local refugee welcome committee (and not in a good way) and is considered a troll on Facebook with a disdain for women's rights and far right ideals. The other guy they arrested is now considered a witness.

Nothing that BBC didn't cover, but nice.

Thanks for the translation

J.K Rowling for Prime Minister of the UK

She's still a hack though and ruined Universal Studios.

How?

446
So yes, arab names. Thanks.

Names is plural, and implies more than one. There is one "Arab" name, and one French-Canadian name. Therefore, I'd advise using the singular form of name.

I'm still waiting to see those Syrian refugees shooting up the mosque like you claimed last night. ::)

You know why I don't criticize? Because I'm not a little bitch like you and others on here.

Careful, don't want your bias to show.

Y'all niggas need to get a fucking life.

Are you done yet? It's getting pretty pathetic.

To all these liberals outraged at Trump banning refugees: Where the fuck were you when Obama was dropping bombs on their homelands?

We're still waiting for you to source your last claim - let's not jump to another one, shall we?

I heard it on a police scanner last night.

Why do you think it's taking so long for the media to release the names? If they were named John and Jack Smith you would have known last night.

If they don't have Arab names I'll leave this forum forever.

I don't care what you do, no consequence to me.

great response. Totally was the core of my point.

Statement still stands. If they had typical white names the media would have released them last night in a heartbeat. If you can't see the blatant lies and bias within the media, you're delusional.

I'm not going to sit here and say Trump is perfect or everything he has done in the past week has been perfect. But hes gotten a TON of unnecessary flak that our last president wouldn't have gotten.
Why would two new Syrian refugees go after a Moscque that's had a history of being targeted? (Pig head at the door in June).
Quebec City also has a history of being anti Muslim (anti anyone who isn't French Canadian) so the hate isn't a particularly new thing here. The act itself is unprecedented but to suggest that it's anyone other than a couple Bloc Québécois members makes no sense.
Looking at it from a motive perspective, it makes 0 sense for it to be a refugee.

See above you.

One of two gunmen who shouted 'Allahu akbar!' as they opened fire at a mosque in Quebec City was of Moroccan origin, a witness and local media reported Monday, revealing the first details about the attackers in the massacre that killed six men.

The terror suspects were identified as Mohamed Khadir and Alexandre Bissonnette, the CBC reported. The two men were arrested soon after the shooting at the Quebec Islamic Cultural Centre Sunday night and were expected to appear in court later Monday, police told reporters.

Moroccan (And Canadian, going by the French-style name), not Syrian refugees - but I'll go ahead and give you half credit so you can have a participation trophy.
