Burned my hand with a pot of boiling water from a coffee brewer that decided not to work just as I started my shift.
Had a bunch of other shit go wrong (Like having to use a toaster oven with said burning hand).

Should this man be put in prison, or should he have a lesser sentence, since the only crime he's really guilty of was caring for his son and wanting to make sure he was well?
Yes, the kid turned out fine. That does not excuse the fact that the father broke the law, kidnapped his son when he did not legally have custody, and prevented the mother from seeing her son? Would the father have liked it if he was kept from seeing or speaking to his son?

Houston voted down HERO.
It IS Texas, so that shouldn't surprise anyone.
and it just boiled down to "They're gonna rape a girl in the bathroom" so that's pretty bad
What the hell is HERO
http://ballotpedia.org/City_of_Houston_Anti-Discrimination_HERO_Veto_Referendum,_Proposition_1_%28November_2015%29#Text_of_measure
Question gives the best summary "Are you in favor of the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance, Ord. No. 2014-530, which prohibits discrimination in city employment and city services, city contracts, public accommodations, private employment, and housing based on an individual’s sex, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, familial status, marital status, military status, religion, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity, or pregnancy?"
only scumbags think they can tell private employers why they can or can't hire someone.
City services is one thing, private is a whole fucking other.
Private companies should be exempt from all laws. Standard work week? How dare you infringe on our profits. Hiring a 7 year old? How dare you infringe on who we hire. Basic safety measures? Totally unconstitutional.

But then I'll have like 3 games that I don't want and a Kinect that I don't want...
Still saving a good $120, and you can then pawn off the shit you don't want for additional cash.

Shameless Product PlacementThe software giant is offering an Xbox One with Kinect bundle for $399, a savings of $100. In addition to a 500GB Xbox One console, the Kinect sensor and a wireless controller, the bundle comes with three full games you can download for free. You get Dance Central Spotlight, Kinect Sports Rivals and Zoo Tycoon.
To sweeten the deal, for a limited time Microsoft is offering an additional free game of your choice. You can choose from Halo 5: Guardians, Grand Theft Auto V, FIFA 16, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Madden NFL 16, Batman: Arkham Knight, Gears of War, Forza 5 and others.
Lastly, both Project Spark and Assassin's Creed Unity will also be automatically added to your cart. That's six free games. Not too shabby, but you will have to act fast. Microsoft is only offering the deal until November 8.

- Marijuana - Ballot Initiative in Ohio would make it the 5th state to legalize recreational marijuana legal for adults over the age of 21, while authorizing ten locations to grow marijuana for sale. An alternate ballot initiative seeks to nullify this by adopting a ban on amendments creating monopolies.
Voted no just to piss my friends off.
That's shitty tbh

Philly, the 4th and 5th largest cities in America
Kenney's got no real competition, and Philly's been blue since the 50's. I don't think that's going to change, nor will this be a valuable predictive event.
It moreso plays into the fact that whoever is Mayor of Philly will play a key role in steering Pennsylvania next year, not how voters will turn out.

USA NewsFew key races to watch this election cycle that will help give a clue on the public's mentality going into next year's Presidential race. - Kentucky Governor's Race - GOP candidate Matt Bevin Predicted to Win over Democratic AG Conway.
- Virginia Legislature - The Virginia State Senate is currently split 21-19, with Republicans having control by one vote. If one of those seats swap to Democratic control, the Senate control flips with the Democratic Lt. Governor becoming the swing vote. A flip could help Democratic candidates in next years General Election.
