Is das mr. Moemon?

Kind of defeats the purpose of a challenge if you're just going to puss out on a boss fight.
Unless the challenge is something like a speed run, I agree.

Can I be the dirty uncle?
From what I've been reading in this thread, das has that position more than covered.

But when I felt that way? There wasn't a need for motivation, because I was truly enjoying life, and I wanted to learn more about everything.
This might interest you.

The Flood / Re: Only post ITT if you straight up Gangsta

I shot a squirrel with a BB gun. Am I gangsta?
No, just cruel.

576
Oh, I see what you mean. I thought you were saying it as a justification for the double standard.
Definitely not. I would love for women to be able to go shirtless and braless just like men, without having people fawn over her, but that's just not reality. You can't just take sexuality out of the equation, unless you start teaching people that it's disgustingly carnal and primitive behavior.

You know, instead of glorifying it in the media.

But no one's going to agree with that, because it makes their penises cold and lonely.
I agree with this sentiment, but the process of conditioning against that biological impulse might be more complicated than punishment.

577
If it's unacceptable for women to not wear tops, then it should be unacceptable for men to not wear tops.
I was only giving a simple explanation for why female breasts are considered sexually appealing, because a lot of people are like, "durr, FOR SOME REASON, these balls of fat are considered appealing!!! humans r weird!!!"

Annoying.
Rude, but alright.

He can still be a bit of pain on low DPS challenge runs.

Oh, good point. I once let him live for more than 30 seconds and the clone lasers almost killed me.

Pinwheel is skippable by quitting out during the loading screen after getting to Nito for the Gravelord covenant. If done correctly, you'll spawn at the Tomb of the Giants rather than back in the Catacombs.
Spoiler
Do you still get the rite of kindling? I don't think I've ever used it for anything besides satisfying curiosity anyway, so if no I wouldn't really be missing anything.
Spoiler
you could break your game that way if you sat at a bonfire there and didn't first get the Lordvessel. With no way of warping back out and the orange fog gate still being there, there was no escape from the Tomb.
Spoiler
That's an oddly fitting and terrifying scenario.

Breasts on women are, for some reason
Because they're a symbol of fertility and maternity. They're baby-feeders, and large baby-feeders, from a primitive biological perspective, have a greater likelihood of propagating the species than smaller ones do. It's not that complicated.
I was actually going to mention this, but I didn't know how it would look in writing. I think you've phrased it here better than I would have.

The Flood / Re: Is it still a crime to not be a massive fan of LOTR
« on: May 03, 2016, 06:39:05 PM »
Weird, Fellowship is my favorite movie of the three. I nearly fell asleep reading the books though.
Tolkien's world is both an asset and a liability. Because of the depth of the universe the lore is expansive and immersive, but sometimes Tolkien takes it too far. Remember reading all of the asides about things irrelevant to the story?

Actually, this problem is common with fantasy writers generally, they have a lot of ideas and they want to show everyone how expansive their universe is, but few engage regular consumers because their story quickly devolves into tangential history lectures.

So can we agree that those cunting Snakemen with chains during the Ancient Wyvern bit are the real bosses of the battle?

You mean the magic chain axes that can go through walls, floors, or ceilings, and are like 100 feet long? Yeah fuck those.
How do you even deal with this in-game? Can you anticipate them at all?

Pretty much
Huh. For a design ethos that rewards the wary this strikes me as poor design.

582
Breasts on women are, for some reason, more sexualized than nipples on men in media. Since they're more sexually identified, they can be seen as indecent. Why are they indecent? Humans have a long history with being ashamed of sexuality, especially female sexuality (Eve and temptation being a notable example), and it's a mindset we still haven't grown out of.

ahem
Truly Chad is the greatest of nations
why the fuck do you identify that flag with chad before romania

why the fuck did chad steal romania's flag
Nations need to stop using the same templates for their flags, they're mostly boring.

When it comes down to it, yes, I'm prideful.

588
Actually, if you (or somebody) could just give me a list of every boss in the game--or just the ones that are necessary to beat the game--just to give me a sense of progression, that could be helpful.

Unless you feel like it could be too spoiler-y, like if a boss's name has plot significance for a twist or... something.

* = optional

After the first third of the game you can tackle each area in any order you want, with a couple exceptions.
There's a lot more optional bosses than just those, btw.

Those are all the bosses in the base game, with a couple mini-bosses thrown in. There aren't any other actual bosses.
I mean that your assessment of what bosses are optional or not is a bit off. Taurus, Capra, Gaping Dragon, Ceaseless, Firesage and Centipede are all entirely optional and legitimately skippable. Pinwheel is too, but he requires a bug to avoid so I'm not including him.
I'm surprised the souls community still considers Pinwheel a boss five years later.

I primarily self-motivate, but the self I motivate myself with is the person I could potentially be. Lately r/cooking has been oddly inspiring beyond culinary endeavors. I also have inspiration from hiking recently. This summer is going to involve a lot of backpacking.

I still have three days to go until this semester concludes. I'm rewatching Mushishi piecemeal.

You just need me to spice things up again.

Notice, how I only get back on here after about 3 days and then just don't bother logging on after a certain period of time. Perhaps I'm beginning to outgrow Sep7agon. This site wasn't exactly fun for me to begin with honestly, regardless of how many nice people I have met, but now its lost all fun.

I'll be on XBL, Steam, and Discord if you folks wanna talk.
I just got here, but it's apparent that you probably need a break. Take some time off and do something you like.

Do I know you?
Unless we've met before elsewhere on the internet, I don't think so. Do I bring someone to mind?

I'm trying to think if I've seen you on Bungie before or not. I don't go there anymore however. Sometimes people know me from there and I don't really know them because they never really talked to me much.
I was Old King Arren back on b.net, but I didn't really post that much. I had an idea for characterizing myself a certain way and trying to tell a story through my conduct. It was too close to role-playing, however, and I quickly saw that wasn't considered an appropriate behavior to a lot of people.

What?
Your post contained double 00's at the end.

OT: I've really only noticed one person I could identify as possibly prideful and I don't know them well enough to make that judgment.

I watch Steven Universe and Adventure Time, and I enjoy them immensely. Also, since Avatar: The Last Airbender is technically a cartoon and relatively recent, I find it hard to believe cartoons aren't cool anymore. There are still plenty of cartoons I enjoy.

I don't really text people often enough to get responses, but it wouldn't bother me if i knew the context of the question.

The Flood / Re: Do many women find an obsession over anime hot?
« on: April 30, 2016, 10:17:15 PM »
Considering it's an extremely undesirable trait, I would have to assume no.
To you.

Traits can't be inherently desirable or undesirable, because everyone has different desires.

Most people would find any kind of obsession undesirable, but it's not some factual thing like you're making it out to be.
No, you don't understand. You see my titlebar? It says "God of Everything," so that make me the God of Everything.

And as God, I've ordained the first law of the universe to be that anime is an abomination.
Wait, if you're god then you can just be rid of it, right? Send a plague to kill every otaku and weeaboo. Send ten just to be safe.
