Jedi choose different focusing crystals depending on their attunement to the force.
The color is a by-product.
The colour is an option. The colours were to distinguish their class. Blue for a Jedi Guardian, Green for a Jedi Consular, Yellow for a Jedi Sentinal. You really can't expect Forge to have the same controls as it always had. It just wouldn't work at all with the new Forge. They've added so many new features that keeping the old controls would make it nigh unplayable.
That and the fact that they've had to map the controls to a controller, whereas a keyboard is the only thing that it'd work the best on.
So stop sperging out like the braindead child you are and actually think logically for once.
Bungie added a lot of features in Reach, but the controls stayed similar.
Why would they need to make up&down A&B? A lot of this comes down to what they wanted to do, I'd be very impressed if they had no choice but to map buttons the way they did.
That's my point. 343 have added so much more to Forge that the only real best option would be a keyboard. The jump from 3's Forge to Reach's Forge pales in comparision to the jump from H2A's to 5's Forge.
