Won't FO4 be further in the timeline? If Bethesda actually use their heads for once they'd show development and some restructure.

I'm not even a Borderlands fan. I only played the first one because my friend begged me, and it was like £10 for the game + all DLC.

Fucking love TftB though.
I was essentially forced to play through 1&2 with an old roommate who was obsessed with the series. Literally bothered me everyday to co-op. Writing always came off very try hard to me.

Not to mention I knew Anthony Burch from his HAWP series. His descent into a massive sjw prick really turned me off to his stuff. He ended up becoming the lead writer for 2 and assisted on the Pre-sequel. Thankfully he left gearbox, so maybe 3 might end up half way decent.

Telltale though clearly knows what they're doing.
The writing in B1 was laughable at best, god awful at worst. But the story and writing isn't really the focus, so eh.
I enjoyed playing it a lot, though. I couldn't get into B2, at all. It just bored me senseless.

I hope TellTale show something from their Marvel game at E3.

Just bought and finished episode one of Tales of the Borderlands. Wow, damn good. Slow build but ended up really taking off. Think I still like Wolf Among Us just a bit more, but gg on the recommendation. Was super long too.
Definitely buy episode 2.

Definitely listen to this advice.
Season pass'd it. Wish the writing in the main Borderlands series was this good.

It has one of the best intros I've ever seen in a game.
they've got great intro music, which is common for the Borderlands IP. i kinda want the next episode to come out so i have a new song to listen to.

Where are the bodies? Why is there such catastrophic damage to the building's structure? Why was there only one guard at the door? I smell BS. Seems off for sure, and at this point i'm not as sure if Halsey's history of working with the enemy (H4 SO) has anything to do with John being a 'traitor'

It would be interesting to find out that John was doing this on behalf of Halsey. What could she have told him to convince him to go angsty white kid on a peace conference
Forerunners. Flood. Prometheans.

Take your pick

Well on Archive they found puctures from HuntTheSignal that sugested that ONI may be experimenting with the Flood. Still the link between that, and shooting up a Peace conference in the Outer Colonies is not exactly clear.
I never completed spartan ops, what was Halsey working with the covvies for?
She was originally just trying to get the Librarian's gift from Jul M'dama but then Osman sent Facepalmer to 360 no-scope her and ended up taking off her arm. Now Haley is pissed and wants revenge. Now she's leading the Covies to the Absolute Record.
She isn't leading them. She's using Jul's Covenant for her own goals.

If this turns out to be a "Chief was a bad guy all along and Halos 1-4 were a lie" I'm going to laugh, both at 3fail3s shitty story telling and the rage from the Halo nerds.
It's ONI propaganda and shenanigans.

Ben and Fero aren't with ONI-Chan. ONI was almost surely trying to cover the Chief's rampage up.
Considering Chief isn't a dog on a leash post-Halo 4, I doubt it.
And we know Ben isn't with ONI.

It's a smear campaign.

The two sides look identical. Maybe it's because i'm viewing it on my iPhone, but the video is at 1080p 60fps. I should be able to see any reasonable differences easily
The game is only 30fps, so playing it at 60fps is pointless. Plus the Xbone version is only 1080p where it can handle it.

You can easily see the stutter on the Xbone version too. It looks horrible.

Fantastic game.
The story isn't anything special, but the characters (and the great acting) are what make the game.
The gameplay isn't anything new or innovative, but it's solid and works very well. Can be very tense on the higher difficulties.

The Wolf Among Us is easily my favourite.
Tales from the Borderlands is actually really good too.
TWD season 1 is great. TWD season 2 is good, but not quite as good as season 1.
GoT is good, but it's definitely their weakest series.

Gaming / Re: Halo CE: The Maw: Alternate Pathway
« on: May 17, 2015, 04:14:16 PM »
Why was the level even called "The Maw"?

Beats me. I didn't create or design this game. Even though I know way too much about how every single cut scene works and how every practical effect and script was done in the game.

But what I don't know is why Staten decided that the last level should be called The Maw.
There are no maws in the game...unless it was some kind of metaphor to being at Halo's maw...or something.

I don't know. All I know is that this the only Halo game that won game of the fucking year.

If 343 makes a Halo game that wins game of the year, I may consider playing it.
Um.

Okay?

The question remains. Do you think 343 will ever make a Halo game that's Game of the year worthy?
They already did.

Too bad only like 3 people bought that

I can't believe it's real. :/
Is this the part where you sperg out and contradict yourself by saying awards mean nothing?

92 metacritic = masterpiece? Shows how shitty AAA games are these days.
Uhh what planet do you live on? A 92 is nowhere close to shitty.
Its not a masterpiece. I'm saying that if a 92 is a "masterpiece" then AAA must be in a poor state.
Yeah, because Metacritic scores = deciding factor on a game's status
Totally.

That looks fake.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Halo-Game-Year-Xbox-360/dp/B00FU6OEJC

I was being sarcastic. Have you never won an award in your life? It's suppose to be an achievement. A milestone, an accomplishment. Pretty sure that's how game developers would view a game of the year award.
GOTY doesn't mean anything. It means about as much as critic scores on Metacritic.
It doesn't magically mean a game is good, and it doesn't mean a game that doesn't get a GOTY award is bad.

Gaming / Witcher 3 PS4 and Xbone comparison.

http://www.gamersyde.com/hqstream_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_ps4_xb1_comparison_v_1_01_-34665_en.html

The lighting differences are because of the dynamic lighting and time of day.
The Xbone version is a bit blurrier, due to the 900p-1080p dynamic scaling, and it has some frame stutter too.
Both versions have the day 1 patch installed.

But on either platform, you'll be getting a great game. PC is obviously the best version though :^)
