Gaming / Re: Universes that you'd like to explore deeper than the games do?
« on: December 26, 2015, 11:25:37 AM »

Gears of War. I found the Pendulum Wars story arks to the books to be more interesting than the current timeline the books are set in. Having games and books just about that war would be great. Then for the Locust they are one of those things that can have a very deep back story but due to the type of game they are in that's not going to happen. If Gears of War was a different type of game or it was made by a different developer like CD Project then the lore to them would be deep.

For Fallout it would be a nice change to have games that take place outside the US like in China since they were the primary rival of the US. What would also be nice is having a game where we start out being born at an Enclave base or vault and we do main story quests for them.
I agree on Gears of War. We're on this fictional planet, it's not even earth.

And I've never played Fallout.
Sera is literally just Earth with a different name. Not much to explore.
And you have proof?
Besides the fact that it's literally just Earth with a different name?
The only real difference is the existence of Emulsion and the Locust.

Gears is one of the most uninspired universes around.

And yet that's a difference. Plus there are no recognizable landmarks, anything like that.

So it's not Earth. It's not super creative but it still isn't Earth.
Are you legitimately dumb?

Yeah, it's geographically different, obviously. Sera is still the in-universe equivalent of Earth, though.
So yeah, for all intents and purposes, it's Earth.

So it's not Earth. Just similar
Marginally different. Literally the in-universe Earth.
Let's agree to disagree and leave it at that.
that's no fun

Hayden was the main character of Looper, yeah.
you're thinking of Jumper

Oh yeah.

That makes me feel less optimistic.
Looper was the good one
Jumper wasn't.

And people say Rocket isn't funny.
Because he isn't

The difference is that when you buy a digital game, you don't "own" it. You just have the right to download and play it. When you buy a physical game, you personally own the disc and case.

Hence why I never buy digital shit
Discs are literally just a physical license.

Speaking of Halo 5, I haven't seen one single forge map uploaded on YouTube. When Halo Reach dropped YouTube was blowing up with fans uploading their creations around late 2010 - early 2011.
Maybe type Halo 5 Forge into the search bar.

You know, the same way you'd find Forge stuff for any Halo.

I am not of understandings

What do wire arrangements have to do with anything?
The majority of people use T568B wiring. Only the US government uses T568A. If you look at your ethernet cable, then there's a 95% chance it's T568B.

Nothing really noticable. Too much clutter. In Halo 3 it was simple but perfect.

I could see what armor people had, and if I had it. In later games they are way too detailed.
The problem with Halo 3 armor is that the bright colors make it look extremely garrish. Halo 3 armor looked like plastic because of this. If it had a darker color scheme and more battle-worn textures like Reach it would look a lot better.
Halo 3 looked the most metallic and had the best color choice to me, Reach was pretty even. Anything after is shitty.
Halo 3's armour doesn't look metallic. It looks like plastic, because painted metal looks that way.

Reach is the only metallic looking in the series because it was worn and battered unlike 3's, 4's and 5's pristine armour.
I don't know what world I live in where painted metal looks like plastic.
Obviously it doesn't look exactly the same, you dimwit.

Painted metal has a plasticy look to it.
What about metallic paint?
umm

One of those deodorant gift boxes. You know the ones in talking about. Every fucking year.
Also some chocolate and cash.

I buy everything I want myself.
I get deodorant and shower gel every year
I have so much still from previous Christmases and birthdays, but I keep getting more and more

I'll smell good for 2 life times though, at least.

A £400 cheque
More money
Random stuff like shower gels, deodorants and chocolate.

Pretty good tbh.
I was supposed to get a car, but I haven't passed my test yet so there wasn't any point
