So? None of those are unrealistic in the Metal Gear Universe. They've spent 25 years setting up an established level of realism and the animations from the cutscenes in TTS don't fit the bill.
This idea of disregarding realism because some aspects aren't realistic in our own world is kind of ridiculous.
Irrealism is the word you're looking for. It isn't realistic.

The changes are what make it shit in comparison. It's basically the same though. True, but it was still better, and more realistic than Twin Snakes. It's better how? From an objective standpoint, TTS has far better designed and put together animation than MGS1's janky ass animation. And realism? This is MGS - the franchise full of clones, robotic limbs, cyborg ninjas, giant robots, and a mute that can teleport.

Because it made unnecessary changes from the original. The animation was off, gameplay didn't translate well from the top-down of MGS1 to the TPS-esque gameplay of MGS2.
The voice acting was also pretty shit in comparison. Same with the dialogue.
Most of the dialogue is the same though, and it's not like MGS1 had good animation anyway.

Have you heard of Halo 4
Have you heard of Halo 3 and Halo Reach? With Halo 4 you have an idea of what you're doing at the start of the level and you have an idea of what the story is until it changes. For Halo 3 the first half is so random you have to beat the level to know what it was about and you can remove the first half without it affecting the story. The story doesn't start until you land on the Ark. Reach is the same thing but the majority of the levels are random and you have no idea at all what the story for the game is until you retrieve Cortana and the game is almost over at that point.
I knew what I was doing in Halo 3 the entire time: trying to stop Truth and reach the Ark.
Halo Reach: um...........try in vain to save Reach?
Halo 3 pretty much had it in the title "finish the fight"
Reach - everyone knew what happened on Reach.
with Halo 4, they had no choice but to start a new story (reclaimer saga)
If people didn't know what they were doing, they either never played the series and jumped right in, or they didn't pay attention at all.

Did everybody know humans were needed to activate the rings? And if they did, well surely the covenant had at least one human prisoner in their entire fleet to activate the rings with.

To be fair, that has only risen in since 2010 onwards when 343 took over and Microsoft decided for Halo to be a franchise. So, Halo.. even though it started with games, isn't limited to that now and is even going to have a TV show released in 2016.
It's a multi-media franchise, like Star Wars.
MS decided for Halo to be a franchise after 343 took over? What Halo has been this way since before 2010 you know. It's been more than just games not long after CE. Oh, and Halo 4 doesn't require you to read anything. Everything you need to know is in the game and terminals.
