Isn't there just no split-screen co-op?
no splitscreen. period.

makes sense really. the xbone is weak as fuck, they want 60fps with big open areas (which would put a lot of strain on the console if it was splitscreen)and lots of things happening. there's no way that was gonna happen with splitscreen.
So the franchise that made splitscreen popular isn't going to have splitscreen at all? Are you supposed to buy two Xbox Ones to play co op?
unless they scale the game back in multiple ways (which they shouldn't), no, it's not

This is the only MGS thread I see, so I'm posting this here.

Pretty big difference. Console version looks so washed out. I hate to think what it looks like on Xbone (probably the same as PS4).
Have you seen the PS360 versions?
No, but if you wanna link em, go ahead. I already know they look shit.
http://www.konami.jp/mgs5/tpp/jp/products/compare.php5

PS3/360: Sub-720p upscaled @30fps
PS4: 1080p @60fps
Xbone: 900p @60fps

It doesn't look that bad on last-gen.

How does the Psycho Mantis battle work on PS3 anyway? On PS1 you have to plug your controller into port 2.

Is there backtracking and stuff in MGS1

Heh.

Ha!

Oh, Lemon, you have no idea what you're in for.
ugh

And just wait until Sons of Liberty. Get used to that Strut F Warehouse, you'll be seeing it a lot.
It hasn't been that bad so far. Much more straightforward than MG & MG2.
I got the Nikita missiles and headed to basement level 2 to get to Emmerich's lab, and called it a day.

It's pretty fucking great so far. Kojima just loves outdoing his previous efforts doesn't he?
My one complaint is the strangle/neck snap - It's finicky as hell, and is literally the only reason I keep getting caught.

Ocelot's boss fight was pretty fun, and so was Raven's (which was mega easy once you get right up close to his tank).

Have you gotten to the Cyborg Ninja yet?
Gray Fox?
I've gotten past the part where he cuts Ocelot's hand off.

Oh yeah, he did show up before Ocelot, didn't he? He's my favorite character in the series.
He shows up after the Ocelot boss fight and cuts his hand off

What bit are you on now

Tbh I don't really see too much difference.

I mean lighting sure but that's something I can live without.

It might be because I'm on mobile but whatev
Lighting, higher quality shadows, LoD, DoF, textures.

Iron Man 1?

lol just stop
I haven't seen the rest because the original is pure, unadulterated garbage. The fact that people are still obsessed with that trash is an indicator for the quality of the average moviegoer's taste these days. Robert Downey Jr is a joke.

Why did they ever do away with firefight

I miss firefight. If they make it like the way ODST firefight was then I'm all for it. Firefight is way better than Spartan Ops imo.
If they can someone replicate the survival feeling that ODST's firefight had combined with Reach's customization options, then they got something great to work with.
And when are we going to be able to firefight on Forgeworld maps?
Never because the AI just wouldn't work. The AI would need to be able to adapt to the millions of variables of each forge-made map.
We only got developer made maps because the AI are programmed to work on each of those maps.
