Oh, the muzzle flash.
You're exaggerating a bit.
you're exaggerating a bit

you said halo 2 was smudgy--i'm watching gameplay of it right now, and... i don't know, it looks fine to me

whereas in halo 3, it gets so bright at times--what with all the bloom and because of the generally more vibrant color palette they used--that it's just unpleasant to look at

i don't care if it's "objectively" better because it uses more polygons
it's worse
It looks objectively better for more reasons than just polygons.
To say Halo 2 is the best looking one is a little silly, considering that it isn't, at all.

And I ain't exaggerating either.
Those textures are big smudges of green, brown and grey

Halo CE is a given, but how does Halo 3, a game from 2007, running on a more powerful console, look worse?
It just doesn't, objectively.
halo 2 doesn't blind me

how
How is it the best looking one? Textures are blurry smudges, and character models look like a melted G.I Joe.
because halo 1 looks even worse
as does halo 3

game was made in 2004--the graphics are gonna look a little dated

you also left out "best maps"--do you deny that the halo 2 maps were great
Because I don't care about them because H2's MP is utter trash

no point rushing them. mgsv isn't going anywhere.

You're getting it on PS4, right?
Yes.

The way the art style and lighting clash with each other is just pleasant to look at.
Halo 3 got updated lighting in the MCC.

for anyone saying halo: you do, in fact, need "a god damn Master's Degree course in Navy Seals tactics" to be anywhere near good.
not really though
it's not like you have to play with the esports rejects.
yeah, but why would i want to play like a brainless retard in a competitive game? if i didnt want to absolutely smash faggots on the internet i would just go play animal crossing or something. go hard or go home
halo isn't only a competitive game
i mean, not if youre playing action sack or fun customs or something. but i usually played the competitive playlists.
playlists i play =/= only way to play halo
obviously. here i refer you to the OP- "where I dont have to have taken a god damn Master's Degree course in Navy Seals tactics to be able to play half decent"

halo requires a certain level of game knowledge in order to play somewhat well. im not here to argue about the merits of competitive vs casual halo. im here to clarify that the games fit the descriptor he mentioned in the OP.
yeah well shut up

Halo 3 custom games.
I should have clarified that this is about campaign and the story
Honesty when it comes to the campaign there's nothing about it that gave me any good moments or memories. The only memorable moment I had was when I was playing the Ark for the first time in Halo 3 and we had a tornado warning. None of the levels stood out to me and I had no encounters that were worth remembering.

The only time I had a moment was due to my dad and not the game itself. I was playing the level where the Master Chief drops in on the prophets speech which was the first time and as soon as the cutscene ended I ended up attacking my dad. The reason why was because I was used to playing as the Arbiter in the first two levels and I thought I was still him so I attacked my dad which we were the Master Chief. I thought the Chief was the enemy so I attacked my dad.
you just said the same thing like 4 times

Looks like Keksworth was lying.

Son of a bitch.

Wait, did you play the original MGS, or Twin Snakes? The original has more backtracking.
The original, obviously.
There  isn't that much backtracking. It's fairly straightforward compared to MG1 & MG2.
