It's literally an AC game with a car in a desert.

Basically, it looks shit.

Regret's boss fight was pretty bad. Not as bad as Tartarus' though, but that isn't saying much.
That Didact boss fight though...
best fight

Spoiler threads are fair game though, as long as the title is labelled as such, because they're intended for spoiler discussion

Wait what? Would this ban someone for not labeling a spoiler?

What If its just some random shit?
No
Accidental spoilers wouldn't result in a ban. Just a polite request to label it as such.

So I couldn't do this?

Spoiler
as long as you tell people it's a spoiler for whatever the discussion at hand is before they open it, yeah, you can post spoiler images in a spoiler tag.

I'm not for a stricter ruleset, just a more consistent one, and if you do somehow manage to break the rules, suffer harsher punishment.

Still don't give a single fuck about this game.
Good for you, I guess.
You'll probably playing Bungie's abortion of a game, won't you?

Hey hey hey hey, if it wasn't for Bungie, Halo wouldn't exist.

Granted the company sucks now... but still.
Okay?

If it didn't exist I'd be none the wiser, so that's a bogus argument.

I'd agree with that, but anything over a week for any type of spoiler is far too long.
Oh, now, see? Even Class is with us on the 1 week plan.

No one agrees with you, Icy. But I guess it's the staff that knows best for us, always.
I was never against a week. I just saw that you and Cheat were talking about 4-6 months as a punishment on the first page, which got me freaked out.

But yeah, I'm not really on your "side". I think punishments in general should be longer, not just spoilers...
they weren't suggesting 3 - 4 months. they wer discussing how long something should be labelled under the spoiler warning

Building off of my previous post

Purposefully posting spoilers to ruin something for a bunch of people is classed as malicious intent, and should be treated the same as any other post with malicious intent.

Like, seriously.
You have to put effort in to break the rules and get banned here because it's so lax. If you actually manage to break the rules then you absolutely deserve a ban longer than a day because you're knowingly doing something you shouldn't be knowing full well you'll get banned.

If you can call out members, spam, and harass people without even getting a three day ban, spoiling a shitty game franchise shouldn't garner a month long ban. That's ridiculous.
and that right there is th exact problem with the way this site is run

Septagon / Re: Regarding Spoilers

Well given the situation I would say these spoilers as a good example. It's obvious how much trouble it's caused so quell that by showing it's not tolerated. By letting someone get off with something like this shows weakness and cracks in the rules.

We are not going to ban a user for one week for spoiling a game - namely because the concept of a spoiler is so damn objective to people.

In the MGS thread at the heart of this, they want zero discussion on anything beyond speculation. Do we take that concept as a spoiler, something that would limit discussion on any number of games or movies?

Spoilers are going to face a punishment, but it will not be a week, or a month, or a permaban as I'm sure someone secretly hopes. I can assure that, and if you don't want to take my word for it, you're more than welcome to wait for Cheat and LC to return.
spoilers aren't subjective. they're pretty objective.
however, prehistoric's rules were down to subjectivity.

Highly unlikely, a nice idea on paper but in application its far too susceptible to abuse, a person can edit out what they don't like or just flat out lock threads when things don't go their way. Even if the staff gives it to more "responsible" members, there have always been cases of members who have generally been more calm to lose their cool. Its just not going to be a thing, sorry.

1. It's their thread, they should have control if they want. Don't like it? Make your own thread.

2. It's not like a monitor position. Each thread would need to be requested specifically. If I was allowed to have these permissions in my MGSV thread, I wouldn't have it in my Street Fighter thread. See how that works? It only applies to my MGSV thread, because it matters there.

Mods would be able to say "Okay, he means to update this thread appropriately, and in the past, he's shown maturity. Let's grant him this."

::not intending to come off as rude::

Have you ever been staff on a forum before?
i'm not trying to be horrible, but you're a monitor, and only have been for like what, 3 days?
you're hardly one to know the ins and outs of forum moderation.

I have been an admin previously elsewhere, and owned my own forum.
a dead forum, yeah

A month is a bit too harsh if the punishment system is to remain how it is, but a day is pretty fucking lenient.

I've been banned longer for less.

One month bans for a spoiler will not happen, I can guarantee you that much.

And what if they break more than one rule at a time?

That'll come down to the staff handling the situation.

Even if we were to throw a harassment charge in, you're still looking at no more than a few days, at most.
But why? That barely constitutes a minor nuisance.
Are we that strapped for members that we can't dish out justice when needed?

Quote
Posting malicious attacks or repeatedly harassing members will carry penalties ranging from a 10-20% warning for the first offense, to lite-bans of various lengths.

Let's say we gave Gatsby a warning for harassment - it was only his first or second offense if i recall, so his impact from harassment would be small, maybe a day lite-ban.

Spoiling, depending on what we decide, will be a few days at most.

As I said, there is no way we are going to ban people for weeks to a month for posting a spoiler.
he posted 5 big spoilers, and reposted a previous one

Still not worthy of a month long ban. Hell, Noelle & Kinder rarely even got those.

Sorry.
>the consequence would be minor because he only did it twice
>he actually did it more than double that
>nope still not deserving of a harsher punishment

fucking get real

Maybe San Andreas is the detached flooded remains of california.
the san andreas from gta san andreas or the san andreas from gta v?
