Anyway, regarding the tweet from Steve Downes.
It's possible that the tweet meant Halo 5 is his last game, not because the Chief is dying (unlikely, as that's an enourmous spoiler if it was true, and not something he'd say accidentally), but because he's retiring.
He retired from being a DJ for 44 years this February to spend more time with his family, so it's highly possible he's retiring completely.
Can't imagine anyone else voicing Chief though. It's just like when Michael Ironside was no longer Sam Fisher...
Yeah, it'll suck, but I'll get over it. There's plenty of talented VAs out there that could replace him if this is what's happening. He isn't obligated to keep voicing Chief forever.

Okay. Off the top of my head with almost no experience with the series.
There's a fuckload of snakes and they're all bastard relatives to one another because they possess the ability to split off from themselves like some mutant half man/half amobia and it's a big long incest chain of this super operative cloning himself to fight the bad guys everytime one of his copies grows old and dies/ is killed.
There's some copy pasta errors in that shit though so sometimes you end up with even more fucked human hybrid monstrosites.
There's fucking nanomachines in everything, son.
There's fucking robots everywhere.
There's tits and asses in tight fucking suits or no suits at all.
And some emo cyborg whose true inner self relates to the 18th century persona of Jack the Ripper. And he stopped a big boat from crashing at some point with no arms and just a sword.
And lastly, boxes and memes.

It's a really good story with cringe worthy anime moments and fanbase characters.
So my suspicions are confirmed then.
Not really. There's stupid dialogue sometimes, silly moments and fourth wall breaking stuff, but it's nothing drastic. It fits the games' style. Semi-serious, but jabs fun at itself. Like, the iconic stealth tool is a cardboard box.

it's changed a lot from 3 to reach and then to 4 so it's kind of all over the place but like i said it's just a feeling, i really do hope im wrong Halo 5 is closer to what Halo was before Reach. Equal startings for players, map control, power weapon control, arena based. Much more of a natural evolution than Reach and 4 were.
