Playing with shields and jetpacks was fun for taking on waves of Covenant and feeling at least evenly matched. Shieldless/sprint only was best for survival.
At that point I might as well be playing ODST.

He lived as a hardass and died as a hardass. I would have been mad if they gave him a heel-face-turn "muh justice" ending or some shit. If they had to make a mediocre story, they made it solidly mediocre.
He was a complete edgelord, and died stupidly.
Stop being a cocky twat and look at your radar like any competent soldier would you skull faced bellend

Oh my god this forum is so autistic

It offers the best customization
Not even up for debate
It's only gotten worse

and the definitive version of Firefight
And a less enjoyable, hand holding experience.
Credit farmers jetpacking across the map spamming fuel rods isn't fun.
ODST's Firefight was an actual survival mode. Only downside was the lack of a matchmaking for it.

You have to give credit though, Emile's character was very consistent. The ending to his story was very nice in that sense.
Consistently stupid.

Motion controls have never worked
Even the Kinect 2 couldn't do it right

Eh, Wii Motion Plus wasnt bad
And Metroid Prime trilogy handled well enough (for the most part)
"it worked, but not properly"

Okay

Motion controls have never worked

If you like armour abilities
Retarded ally AI
Bad characters
No plot development
Contradictions galore

Then it's pretty fun

My Reach distaste aside, New Alexandria had a brilliant atmospheric opening.
I remember trying not to get hype when that showed up in the pre-release trailers.

Spoiler
Reach was a 6/10, would have been a 7/10 if the campaign didn't conflict with pre-existing lore so much.
5 at best
Only because Jorge is my waifu

Everything else...
no

If it didn't contradict TFoR and have shit characters besides Jorge, it'd easily be one of the best Halo games.

That is NOT what I meant.

I was trying to get you to understand that Halo 4 is ONLY good when compared to it's predecessors. Which weren't good.

So. . .
lol
okay

Forgot about that.

Still, he's not nearly fleshed out enough to be considering deep.

I'm not saying to only play the good ones
I'd actually like to see him play them all (even Reach) to see what he thinks, instead of him being told to "not bother because they suck"

It's like someone telling me not to play MGS2 or 4.
Fuck off I'll form my own opinion.

I too can underplay things

It's not like Halo 2 massively goes more in depth or shows so much of the Covenant and their intentions, cultures, politics, secrets and
Spoiler
the unrest and betrayal of the Sangheili and why it happened
.

Halo 2 is on a whole other level compared to CE.

As a stand-alone game, Halo 4 fails by those standards. Only when comparing it to it's predecessors does it become "good."
It's a sequel to 3 other games, so there's really no point to this redundant part of your post.

"oh if you disregard the previous games it gets weaker as a standalone"
Well no fucking shit. It isn't designed as a standalone game, nor should it be.
Playing the previous games is basically a prerequisite.

Let's be honest, though. If you didn't know why the Didact hated humanity or who he even was, you were pretty lost and he's a pretty shallow villain.
Well I guess it's a good fucking thing you're told by The Librarian then, aye?
She literally tells you that he hates Humanity because they were killing Forerunners.

It's not like Verb is exactly quiet about his dislike of the Halo games. If he didn't like CE, chances are, he won't like the future games.
Because it's an FPS. He automatically hates them.
That has no relation to the quality of any of the games' aspects.

It's a barefaced lie to deny that the gameplay and story don't (significantly) improve even if you don't like Halo.

Also, let's not pretend I haven't changed since B.net.
You're more emo and like MGS now?

Quote
In what sense? Because the story was short and poorly executed, even with a substantial grasp of the extended universe. There was perhaps 3 or 4 scenes where I felt something.
Character development
An actual plot that makes sense
Chief isn't a meme-tier one line space dude
EU acknowledgement ("b-but i have to read books" fuck off, no you don't. pay attention to the game you're playing)

It's true, though.
before or after you muted me on bungie because i said prefect arour sucked?
the sequels only get better (excluding reach). and yes that includes 3.
2 has the best campaign in the original trilogy
3 is weaker than 2, but not as weak as ce
odst is fantastic
reacharound can fuck off
halo 4 is great
Quote
Not. I want him to play a good game instead of wasting his time with CE.
he's already finished it

Harry Potter on the PS1 was the shit

Link me so I know which one you're talking about.

The Philosopher's Stone, also known as The Sorcerer's Stone in the US (unsure about Canada).

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on the PS2 was pretty great. Open world Hogwarts and shit.
