Story looks pretty disappointing. A little, yeah Movement looks shitty and about as CoD-like as Halo's ever been, do not want / 10. Plays nothing like CoD. Do not want funky aiming animations and HUD mess. Works exactly the same as it always has. Microtransactions and random card stuff, ew. Don't buy them? It's still a fairly balanced system, plus all DLC is free.

Based on what the gameplay establishes? No, it doesn't. But "gameplay ain't canon" (which is fucking stupid btw) Gameplay isn't canon. Never has been. Gameplay being canon is fucking stupid, because it restricts literally everything. If gameplay was canon, and augmented super soldier that was wearing power armour would only be capable of walking at a very slow pace, and 20th century bullets can shoot through titanium allow (a literal bullet proof material), somehow. If gameplay was canon, augmented super soldiers are only capable of running by attaching a device to their power armour. If gameplay was canon, augmented super soldiers would now be able to run in their power armour through the means of magic without any external device. See how fucking stupid that is? Gameplay isn't canon. Never has been. It massively limits the universe, and is just utterly retarded. Plus Halo 5's gameplay is the closest it has ever been to matching what Spartans can do. It's not like the Osiris Cutscene happened, and then threw you into CE's clunky ass slow gameplay. Multiple things Osiris did in that cutscene (groundpound, sprinting, thrusters) are gameplay mechanics. Completely different, though.
1. MGS4 is a FAR worse offense.
2. MGS4 contradicts things that were established within the actual games, Reach doesn't.
3. The retcons were complete horseshit, Reach is essentially non-canon IIRC now. It doesn't matter if TFoR isn't a game, but H:Reach is. H:Reach contradicted TFoR in many ways, none of them being good or making sense. H:Reach's contradictions and retcons were complete horseshit too. TFoR and H:Reach now coexist because 343 had to fix Bungie's shit by releasing Data Drops that made them connect.

The only thing I can remember is the opening with Osiris Blue Team. The Battle of Sunaion. Spoiler Locke and Chief.
Blue Team speaking to the Warden Eternal. To name a few. doing some Superman-esque shit (it's all in one-shot) which was admittedly pretty cool, but felt out of place and unrealistic for the universe. Everything else (bar music, again) was better in Reach. Fits in with the Universe just fine. Spartans are literally superheros. They're capable of crazy shit that's otherwise impossible to regular non-augmented non-futuristic power armour wearing people. But you don't really know much about the canon, so... The biggest problem with Reach was that it broke established canon, but I'm of the opinion that creative freedom trumps consistency.
You're like the biggest whiner ever about MGS4 messing and retconning things. No consistency brings issues. Lots of issues.

As for the Sangheili, what excuse are they going to use now? In Halo 4, 343i said that the Sangheili evolved. What now? They could have based the design off of the Halo 2 Anniversary elites at least. The current models are a constant reminder of the space hicks that we encountered back in 4.
Literally the only issue with the use of the Halo 4 Sangheili model in Halo 5 is Thel 'Vadam.

Try connecting the dots for Halo Reach and Fall of Reach, look at each date and time then you will realize that Halo Reach does fit the story with The Fall of Reach.
It literally didn't, though. It was only after 343 released newer stuff like the Data Drops that Halo Reach and TFoR were able to coexist without contradicting each other.

Reach's presentation, music, cinematography and themes were pretty good though. 5 had literally none of that, bar music (which is pretty much just O'Donnell dick-riding by Jinnouchi).
Halo 5 had great cinematography, and had many great tracks that weren't based off of Marty's work (the dick riding is literally just the iconic monk theme and the main theme. Everything else is a new composition). 3 and Reach are the worst campaigns.

The MP is a lot of fun. Warzone is great. I haven't played much arena though ( mainly because of Warzone), but it's largely unchanged from the beta, which was a lot of fun.
The gameplay is slick.
The campaign is fun, but the story is pretty mixed though, tbh. It has good bits, okay bits, and crap bits.
