I think you need another break.
I think people like you need to vote with your wallet more often and not spend money on this cash cow.
Why you mad though?

A Holographic Sight that is used in a traditional ADS fashion is from Halo 2?
The zoom feature, not the change of sight/scope.
Yes, it is still a magnification. Thing is, that it's a gimmicky magnification that has no conceivable reason for being implemented other than to attract the CoD-type player.
Something is different? It's obviously done to attract CoD players. - Assassin11D7
Really? So, why would they change something like that in a way that requires an animation that takes the dev team more time to do, adds clutter to the zoomed in screen, and offers no positive on a whim? What other reason is there? If you disagree, then clearly you have a well-founded reason to oppose me, right? Let's hear it.
Because they can. That's literally the only reason needed. And the new zoom takes up as much of the screen as the old BR does.
The old BR didn't have the sides of a scope/rds in the FoV. Mainly because, you were actually zoomed in through a scope, not the camera zooming in.
And I'm sorry, if you really think that something like that is done on a freakin' whim, then I don't think you have a clue what you're talking about.
The FOV of the new BR is the same as the FOV of the old BR regardless of being able to see the sides of the scope.
Where did I say it's done on a whim? Just because they went with a design change doesn't mean it's "hurr they r apeeling to cod kiddies".
There is no logical alternative. Again, if you think there is, outright say it. Design decisions don't happen on a whim, you've acknowledged that now, so what other reasons could there be?
Yes, and being able to see the sides of the sights is screen clutter, which equals taking up more space.
Your claim isn't even logical to begin with. Changing something to make it look new doesn't mean in the slightest that it was done to appeal to CoD players. It's an aesthetic design choice. Simple as that.
The FOV is the same, so it's not taking up more space.
An aesthetic design choice that 100% mirrors how it functions in CoD and other modern FPS games. So, that has absolutely no correlation at all, and couldn't possibly have been a leading factor that caused 343i to make that change?
It's blocking part of the screen. The edges of the scope/sight are blocking parts of the screen.
An aesthetic design choice that still functions exactly how it has always functioned. But by your logic, they would have done the same to every other weapon, which they didn't.
It blocks just as much as the screen as the old BR zoom does.
What are you trying to say exactly? Well, they did make it so you have an ADS animation for every weapon in the game they've shown off thus far, so...
That it's simply a aesthetic design change to something that functions exactly the same as it always has. They made it so there's a zoom function on every weapon instead of some weapons. None of them have ADS like CoD or BF.

If I was the developer in charge of the entire Halo franchise, I'd punish everyone because of this thread.
Permabans. No one is allowed to play Halo online anymore. And you could all thank CyberGama for making that a reality.
For liking Spartan Abilities? You really are a special little snowflake.

The voice actor for Locke sucks, IMO. Is it bothering anyone else?
Everyone is bad when compared to Keith David.

People are crying about new stuff they've had no hands on with and is also a beta and subject to change.
Because saying, "Wait until you play the game before hating on it!" worked so well with Halo 4?
Ah yes. I forgot that we had input on Halo 4 by playing the Beta... Oh.
Just going to throw this out there.
Reach actually got worse after the beta.
Which ironically enough, 343 improved after Bungie left.
Not really, the title update actually made Reach even worse than it already was.
Yes, because bloom was so great, right?
For Reach? It was better than no bloom. Reach was balanced around bloom and its maps were made with it in mind so taking it out ended up fucking up the games balance and threw the whole thing out of wack.
A game designed around something that promotes spam isn't that good.

They are.
Haven't you noticed how similar Halo and COD are starting to become?
Halo 4 when it launched, then maybe. Halo 4 now is a lot different than when it launched. Halo 5 is an equal starts arena shooter, something which is nothing like CoD.

But I can't play Halo 2 online in 60fps and 1080p.....
The fact that people actually give a shit about framerate being 60FPS just shows that no one gives a fuck about gameplay anymore in this day and age.
>People care about 60fps >Don't care about gameplay
Framerate directly affects gameplay. Especially an FPS game.
I don't recall fucks like you complaining about framerate when Halo 3 was out.
So people aren't allowed to want something that improves a game now? Some dev you are.

Your autism hurts. It's a new zoom aesthetic you moron. Zoom ( which is a form of ADS) has been in Halo since CE.
You're literally too stupid to insult now with what you just said.

I thought we were arguing about Halo 5 sucking balls, can we get back on track, please?
We've all ran out of ways to say that it looks like CoD and is a departure from the franchise. If we're going to keep this conversation going, we'll have to start copy/pasting.
Why the hell does nobody respond to my comments on Dual Wielding, ever? There's literally no flaw in the system, is that why?
I don't really see it as a gamebreaking flaw personally. Dual wield was a good mechanic that worked well in previous installments but it's possible 343 couldn't find a way to make it work in with this one.
What? It was unbalanced.

Just watched some gameplay. Like, what the fuck is everybody crying about?
Because if it's not a Bungie Halo that's not Halo 3.5, then it's automatically bad.
Change your avatar. You're making Marty look bad. You don't deserve to have his face.
And you'll never be an easter egg in my games. You've lost the right for it.
I'll have whatever avatar I like. Liking Halo 4 and 343 doesn't meanI'm not allowed to like Marty's work.
I'm supposed to care that I won't be an easter egg in a game that I'll never play nor give a shit about? Cool.
Then that makes you a fucking poser.
Congratulations dipshit.
How does that make him a poser?

Smart scope is quite a bit of screen clutter, but it's a pretty good looking alternative to a black-screen scope, plus you still descope: thank god it's not traditional ADS. Etc... Please stop calling it this. It makes me want to kill something.
It's not smart, it's literally as dumb/simplified as you can get when it comes to using a scope.
You're just mad that a scope is smarter than you.

Let me reiterate that ADS/zoom in is a simple Spartan Ability, meaning not everybody will have it and those that will use it are your snipers and people who heavy rely on distant kills. It's a small boost that helps them, and nothing more major than that
Ground Pound and the other abilities play along to specific play styles. 343 has a very well-known competitive Halo player (Bravo) as an employee and I'm sure he has put in input on how to give the game a fresh feel while still having a balanced core
Everyone gets every ability. Spartan Abilities aren't Armour Abilities.

What I liked about Halo is being stripped away piece by piece. The sense of mystery, the music, the great gameplay, and so on. the loss of mystery is really what turned me off of the series.
>Implying there's no mystery in Halo 4 Halo 4 is just as mysterious as CE by introducing a new unknown enemy.
Nope. You said it wrong. Halo CE had the right pacing.
Halo 4 on the other hand lead you straight to it. There was no mystery.
Bullshit. The Prometheans were as mysterious as The Flood were in CE. The pacing was done fine.
