Just Cause 2 was absolutely superb, just recently I was playing it again and it reminded me just now top notch the graphics, world design and incredible smoothness is. Buying JC3 will be a no-brainer for me, and if their enthusiasm for that multiplayer mod is anything to go by then I can see the devs actually adding in multiplayer. Could be some fucking amazing game nights on the horizon
There's not going to be multiplayer, on launch at least anyway
They have not confirmed nor denied it yet, they've hinted against co-op but not necessarily all-out chaos like in GTA for example.
Except they confirmed that there'll be no multiplayer modes upon launch.

You shouldn't be okay with that.
Art assets and modeling are usually the first things to get done in game development. After that comes programming scripts, QA testing, etc.
In the late stages of game development the art team is sitting there with nothing to do. So why not work on more maps? Trouble is that by the time these new maps are finished, the game will be a month or so away from going gold, which doesn't leave the programmers and QA team enough time to write scripts for the news maps and iron out bugs. These maps are then sold later on as DLC because they couldn't make the release date.
That's at least how it usually goes. Most of the time it's obvious whether or not DLC is a cash grab, but you can't exactly know that until after the fact.
