I enjoyed the 2013 TR reboot, so I'll probably pick this up after it releases.
They should do what Techland did with Dying Light and cancel the last-gen version though.

Halopedia is known for having things on there without any sources.

I believe you're thinking of Halo Nation. Halopedia is the more credible of the two.
Oh. My mistake then.

Stupid websites having similar names.

Again, reputation and trust mean nothing. It doesn't give you a reason to pre-order.

That isn't why I pre-order. That's some justification I use for pre-ordering, but it isn't why.
It's bad justification and shouldn't be a reason to pre-order.

Pre-ordering off of faith is just blind consumerism and is a part of the reason so much bullshit exists in the industry today.
Agreed.

I'm pre-ordering two games out 20 that I'll most likely buy if they get good reviews. Rocksteady hasn't released an Arkham game in nearly 5 years, and the last Metal Gear on consoles was released in 2008. That was 7 years ago.
The amount of games you pre-order doesn't matter. Pre-ordering is bad regardless of whether you only pre-order 1 or 10 games.
And what does the time frame between releases have to do with anything? If you're implying that justifies pre-ordering, then you're wrong.
Quote
It gives them more credibility is what I'm saying.
A credible /publisherdeveloper has just as much chance of being slimy cunts as a less credible publisher/developer.
Quote
Me pre-ordering MGSV is well worth the potential for broken-ness in the game because I get to play it instantly, as soon as it's released.
Aaaand this is exactly why you're a part of the problem.
You're in the fucking stupid mindset of "i don't care if it's bad or broken because i'm an impatient blind consumer and i want it now".[]/quote
Thanks for confirming that.

I'm done here after that. Goodbye guy who's a part of why the industry is shitty right now.

There's just no getting through to you people.

No arguments here about the state of most games these days. Which is why I leave it up to reputation and faith in the developer.
Again, reputation and trust mean nothing. It doesn't give youu a reason to pre-order.
Pre-ordering off of faith is just blind consumerism and is a part of the reason so much bullshit exists in the industry today.

Quote
All pre-ordering does is show developers that you'll buy a game regardless.

What a surprise! We agree again.
Yet you're still pre-ordering games.

Quote
1: I give a shit. I don't like to insult people who go to work everyday and put their best foot forward, craft a genuinely well-developed game, full of passion, only to be painted over with the same brush that the we ( the consumers) use to colour developers like Bungie, DICE, Ubisoft, etc.
That's cute.
Developers don't give a shit what you think of them whilst you're forking over your money to them for their games. This is an industry, not a touchy feely hugbox of emotions.
I'll say it again; trust, reputation and faith means jackshit. Making a few good games doesn't magically make them immune to bad games, bullshit and fuck ups.

You're a big MGS fan. Just look at GZ. It's a blatantly cheap £30 demo money grab, which is corporate bullshit, because they know they can do it and you'll eat it up like the blind  and faithful consumer you are.

Quote
If spending $120 over the course of 7-10 years makes me apart of the problem, I really couldn't give less of a fuck.
Thanks for being a part of the reason why games are broken and pre-order "bonus" cut content bullshit exists :)

LC no

It's a wiki. It should tell you what you need to know right?
Just because it's a wiki doesn't make it any good.

Halopedia is known for having things on there without any sources.

Meh, Halo lore died for me when Travis stepped in anyway.
Because of one hackjob writer who only did a few things?
That's like giving up on a TV show after a few rubbish episodes.

It was just the start of the decline and future lore has to take into account the shit she wrote even though she didn't even bother to take into account the things that transpired prior to what she wrote.
>decline

No
Disregarding Traviss' work, the Lore certainly hasn't declined.

It looks pretty good. Although everything falling apart would get annoying after a while.
That's why you don't build things that aren't structurally supportive. Also the game is still in alpha.
I know, but being limited on what you can build because of the physics would get annoying.

The destruction physics are pretty nice though.

It's like you think games have a natural inclination to be broken.
Considering the fact that games are being released in an unfinished state these days, yeah.
Quote
It shouldn't be assumed everything is broken until proven otherwise.
Even so, it doesn't give you a solid reason to pre-order. All pre-ordering does is show developers that you'll buy a game regardless.
And having the mindset that games won't be finished on release isn't a bad mindset, for the reasons I've already stated.
Quote
And to say that reputation means nothing is (I would assume) pretty insulting to developers who consistently put out quality games.
Who gives a shit if it's insulting? It's true.

But hey, continue to be a part of the problem.
