Except they're not. It doesn't even specify which gametypes were played and for how long. Breakout matches would significantly lower total time played of the beta, because Breakout is a very quick gametype.

Dunno. I'll buy any Halo game that has a campaign, likewise for any expanded universe and etc. fuck multiplayer.
But considering how many people said hey were done with Halo after Reach yet 4 had the biggest sales figures for any game in the series so far, I believe, I doubt it's going down the shitter yet.
I mean, 343's got a plan for their story for 30 years so they're obviously pretty confident about something. But even if te games went down but the books continued I'd be fine, that woul finally allow me to ditch Xbox.
It didn't sell the most, it had the quickest day one sales, mostly thanks to more marketing and the "Trust us, it's Halo" crap. It actually sold less than Halo 3 and I think possibly 2 and Reach (though I forget their sales).
It did nothing to keep people playing. It lost 90% of it's population in under 6 months.
It sold a little less than Reach, but more than 2.

343 didn't release a population counter, so we don't know. It fell off the top 10 charts back in December tho, so I would say no more than 15k actually play it everyday.
I highly doubt 4 games collectively has about the same population as Halo 4 360.

Halo 5's multiplayer is actually good, judging by the beta. Halo 4's multiplayer was pretty fucking mediocre. It think it'll last a bit longer as long as they don't have another MCC launch on their hands.
Yeah, but the fact that 343 screwed up hard not just on one game, but two....
MS are to blame for the MCC being released in a broken state, not 343. And they didn't screw up Halo 4. It's just different than previous Halo games.

Like...it makes sense in a way, it sounds like Buck and Romeo will make an appearance in Halo 5, but it'd be hard to carry on a secondary character and give him story, when he's a silent protagonist. Youd have to give him a voice and a face that would suit him, but he's meant to be us in a way, and thats hard.
