I have an Elite too, I only get that problem with game discs that are close to being busted. Bad Company 1 started bronzing after a while. Guess I lucked out >.>
My discs are fine. It's because my 360 has been on its last legs for a while now. Hell, the disc tray doesn't even open unless I bang the top of the 360.
