Look at the ground texture and how it turns to shit a few feet away from the character. That's what having no AF will do
AA has quite a big impact on visuals too, depending on which type is being used.
I know what anti-aliasing is but what's anisotropic filtering?
To put it as simplyas I'm able to, it makes the quality of textures on an oblique viewing angle in relation to where the camera is looking not look like a blurry and muddy mess.
For example, DmC on the PS4 has awful AF for whatever reason
Dear god that's bad, i've noticed GTA V has issues like that-alongside a lot of other more recent games.
It doesn't make sense why the PS4 version has no AF, but the Xbone version does. Dying Light on PS4 didn't have it either, but that was fixed in a patch. It's a Capcom game though, and so far they've done shoddy jobs with PS4 versions of their games. REmake, RE Revelations 2 and now DmC have problems, but they're fine on Xbone.

Idk man, ICO is a great game and SotC is one of the best games ever made. I don't see how they could not make Last Guardian fantastic, especially since SotC was made two console gens ago.

Idk, I don't think it has as much of a hype train as HL3 does. I think it could meet expectations. FFXV is looking exactly as I had hoped it would, so hopefully LG is the same way,

I'm sure it'll look better final game. Also, one thing that really captured me is the draw distance. Cidney's shop was insanely far away but I could see it. I really liked that.
It'll undoubtedly look brilliant at release. I even acknowledged that it was still over a year away until release. It looks good graphically as it is now, al things considered.

It looks great from what I've seen.
It has literally zero AF, AA that isn't very good, and the hair seems to have dithering (possible it's just the 900p resolution and lack of a decent AA solution causing that). The lack of AF makes the ground look like dirt soup.
But it's a demo for a game that's stilll over a year away, so I shouldn't really judge it harshly.
