Also, did you say you really liked Assassin's Creed 4 somewhere back in Gaming? Just started playing it yesterday since it's free with Gold.
Yes. It's one of my favourite games.
As an Assassin's Creed game it's pretty weak (the assassin story isn't focused on very much), but as an overall game it's bloody brilliant.

Nah. Not my type of movie and reviews are confirming exactly what I already feared / expected. Might torrent it in a few months, but I can't say I care much.

All the reviews were positive tho
Two major Belgian outlets rated the movie a 0.5 and 1.5 out of 5 stars, going as far as calling the movie "a terrible failure, an overwhelming disappointment and the coldest movie shower of the year so far." They criticized the heavily convoluted plot, overly chaotic action scenes, boring bad guys, predictability and lacking verbal interaction between the cast. That Whedon's talent as a director, clearly shown by Serenity, Firefly and Cabin in the Woods, fell victim to the "Ridley Scott-disease", as in the abandoning of talented simplicity for CGI and impersonal action. Too much action becomes boring and gets in the way of any involvement you feel.

While they praised certain scenes / dialogue, and were impressed by the surprisingly philosophical themes (the desirability of world peace, for example), neither deemed the movie even remotely worth watching for anyone but die-hard comic fans inclined to throw money at anything with a Marvel logo on it.

Spoiler
Before the inevitable shitstorm ensues: I have not seen the movie and this is not necessarily my opinion, even though I can definitely see this being correct. Just showing that the reviews have not all been amazing.
Belgium isn't relevant though
One of the critics is a judge at Cannes, so I'm gonna go ahead and give him so credit for that. I'm also more inclined to listen to reviewers that don't praise any popular blockbuster and are potentially biased towards Marvel because of the comics. I personally think that's a major problem. People who are massive fans of something are more inclined to look past the flaws and give it a good review because it's a flashy and good looking flick about the super heroes they love so much.

"Who cares if it's predictable, convoluted and lacking in several departments? Despite the fact that it's a mediocre movie at best, we get to see Iron Man make witty jokes and use his new suit to fight the Hulk, and the Avengers fight Ultron in a final 30 minute long action sequence referencing the upcoming movie with this amazing bad guy in it! 9/10, would watch again."

As someone who's never been much of a comic book fan, I'm more inclined to take a more objective reviewer's opinion than someone who grew up adoring the Avengers and will now be satsified with the movie as long as it shows enough action.

I'm not going to talk shit about a movie I haven't seen and that could very well challenge my expectations, but I am gonna take a lot of reviews with a grain of salt.
You need a sense of humour

The Flood / Re: How did you come up with your username?
« on: April 23, 2015, 08:54:36 AM »
My original B.net name was Jakster11, and when I installed coup for B.old, I had my name show as Tekanova for myself and other coup users.
When B.net got the overhaul, and someone created coup for B.next, I used a Kieth Lemon gif as my avatar. I then changed my name to TheMightyLemon to fit with the avatar.
After a few weeks I decided to change it to TheBritishLemon, after a while I changed the O to an Ö just 'cus.
Now on here it's just Lemön and whatever random shit I put at the end.

And that, gadies and lentlemen, is how your favourite user came to be.

I've been finding the response to Battlefront disturbing as well.

This isn't a sequel to Battlefront 2. This is a reboot. If they're simplifying things to benefit the overall cohesiveness of the game, then so be it.

Ask yourself a serious question.

WHEN THE FUCK HAS A REBOOT EVER BEEN GOOD.
The Tomb Raider Reboot was pretty good

Seen it
Thoughts?
It sucks how they kill off the Hulk and JARVIS. But the Spiderman cameo was awesome.
You're a cunt if this actually happens
Yeah Ultron kills JARVIS so that he can control the iron-legion. The Hulk sacrifices himself by crashing a jet that was going to kill Blackwidow.

Felt like sharing some modded Skyrim in a mod thread.

Is Skyrim even Skyrim anymore?

I'd say so. Bethesda just gave PC gamers the tools and support to go apeshit with their game and the results show.
It's been almost 5 years and Skyrim is still making Bethesda dosh due to the modding community and it's consistently in the top 10 most played games for Steam.

Spoiler
Of course modding is terrible and devs that support it don't know what artistic integrity is though.
It was a joke about how mad the modding scene for Skyrim is and how un-Skyrim the game can be with some mods.
